I'd still play. If BF2 had a more effective custom map delivery system (such as you join a server and you automatically get the map).

Would this have been possible with BF2.

Imagine 64 people joining a server and 30 needing the 30Mb map. Would there be a way to ensure that everyone could get ti fast enough, by bittorrent maybe, using the players upstream to help others?

I think without it would have lost interest in the game a long time ago and moved on to something else. There always seems to be some award or rank just around the corner to work for. As for hackers, in nearly 600hrs i have only ever come across a couple of suspect players and every game has cheaters stats or not.

I'm suprised by many replies saying they would be bored with this game if it weren't for chasing badges and medals. Not knocking that, just confused. If you guys ever got introduced to an MMORPG you might not see sunlight again haha.

And people like you are the people who didn't play BF1942 , where there where no stats, and I can tell you, there was a hel of a lot more TK ing going on there and stuff you can't even imagine, because nowbody cared about anything , why shouyld they, next round or day everything can be forgotten.

Nope, I've played BF42, BFV, BF2 and every sinlge expansion pack. OK my suggestion was no INDIVIDUAL stats, but COUNTRY stats. I think my original intention for this thread has gotten slightly lost. Why I suggested this was to try & instill some kind of team-spirit into the game & remove the motivation for selfish players. There wouldn't be any real motivation for some smacktard to shoot you out of a helicopter just so they could have it, it wouldn't affect scores at all. OK, it may still happen with some ppl, but I'm hoping they would be discouraged by the new scoring system. I hope everyone would feel patriotic enough to want to see their country at #1

not only would i still play, i wouldnt waist my time trying to get stats and instead just try to win.

If you like playing without the points, why does it matter if you win or loose, since you are not geting anything out of it anyway? So if it doesn't matter if you win or loose why play at all? To admire the scenery? How long you think that's gonna last?

Your missing the point, I DO care about winning, I care if my team/country/etc wins over my opponents, my own score is unimportant as long as my performance helped my side. I'm saying I want to try to put off selfish players only interested in their own scores.
