OK I'm giving this one last try from first person. I'll try to get some third person footage some time soon. Maybe tonight. I only get 25fps while recording, it might work better if someone else is "holding the camera"

Exactly Scotty. This manuver can be done, but it cannot be done from a dead stop like he does, and it cannot be held for as long as he holds it. So how is he doing this? I have seen trepid_jesse spin the chopper 3ft of the top of the TV station in Sharqi repairing, switch seats let off a hellfire, and smash the Mec chopper, and all he did was flatten out a little bit. He was still SPINNING. How is it that the chopper didn't drop? Some might say he switches seats so fast that he regains control immediatley, OK, I'll buy that, so how does he guide the TV missle all the way to the MEC pad without missing? This is what baffles me. If he is in the cobra by himself on Sharqi he will not let the MEC chopper off the ground.He can smash that pad from anywhere on the map, while he is capping a flag.The other team will not go near it leaving the chopper sitting there. Then he just flys over with an empty seat ,someone spawns, there bails out, and steals the MEC chopper signaling the end for the MEC side lol,because he will dominate the map in minutes.

A part of that video looks like it but i dont think youve got your angle anywere near steep enough . But i honestly can tell from looking inside the cockpit id need to be outside looking at it. I am willing to join an empty server if you want and watch you from the outside. lol maybe we could get a bunch of the heli pros to get on a unranked server and see what they can come up with.

I just saw the video, what trepid_jesse does is not what the video shows. Trepid can keep the '+' in the middle of the HUD at one point on the ground, and can circle with the '+' on the same spot, over and over, with the cobra at about a 70-degree angle of the blades to the ground. The video shows the '+' moving all around the helipad, with the chopper at a 20% angle.

Trepid can circle you and hit you with 5 or 6 rockets per circle, all within 1-2 feet of each other if he wants, or can track/hit you as you run while still circling. at a 70-degree angle to the helo body.

We need some screenshots in here to show just how steep he keeps the cobra while circling.

Yeah, jesse is amazing w/ that damned chopper! I play a server that he frequents. As a chopper pilot myself, I hate when he gets in that chopper lol, 'cause I know I have no hope in hell of surviving him

I'm not buying the whole, "Oh he hacks cos he can do it consistantly" crap. He's just got skills that none of us earthly people possess. hehe

I can do a REALLY tight circle, but I lose altitude too fast to make the move useful. After reading this, I'll try and perfect this move when I get home from work.

But I seriously doubt he uses any sort of hacks.

I was gunning and the driver was doing this exact thing. It was he was capping a flag and he was just circling around it he was at like a 50-60 degree angle when he did it.

He was able to circle entirely around the flagpole every second, which helped greaty so you were just a sitting duck

its pretty easy whenever you start out with smaller circles and keep improving on them... Me and one of the other guys in my clan do this quite often, and its very useful to have. Id recommend getting a joystick throttle combo like a saitek, which is what i have... it makes it a hell of a lot easier.

its pretty easy whenever you start out with smaller circles and keep improving on them... Me and one of the other guys in my clan do this quite often, and its very useful to have. Id recommend getting a joystick throttle combo like a saitek, which is what i have... it makes it a hell of a lot easier.

You can easily do it with mouse and keyboard as well.

I will have to agree with you ZULU, I think it's some kind of cheat also. The cone manuver can be done,but you have to have some kind of initial movement to get it started, and once you have started it the helo WILL DROP slowly but it will drop none the less. There are probably only 2 guys in this game that can do this with no intial movement and hold it for as long as they want. DJJEFFRO being one, and the other is trepid_jesse. I have logged alot of hours in this game also, and they are the only ones that I have seen that can do this. I have seen people TRY to do it, but it is not the same. If you guys have game monitor follow trepid_jesse to a sharqi or dragon valley map and you will see first hand the manuver in question. He is the best I have ever seen in a chopper. If there is anyone that is better PM me please. This manuver is the only thing that I cannot duplicate in this game. I have tried with the keyboard and mouse, joystick, and 2 different gamepads. The fact of the matter is if this is a legitimate manuver then more people could do it, not just 2 out of a million players. I just watched the video also and that is not it, the helo is not pitched enough, and it is being rolled to one side. That manuver I can do, and that is as far as I can get with control, but thanks for the video.

Don't compare DJJeffro to this guy, i've played with DJjeffro a fair few times now and he is one of the lamest players i've seen. All he does is play servers like wake only and starts as usmc, he then takes the blackhawk hides it over at the chinese base then switches to the chinese. He then grabs the blackhawk and flys it back over to the carrier and lands it on the end of the carrier and just camps there on the minigun.
