Are you logged in as an administrator? You will probably need to give a more exact quote of the entire error message.

Ok, yes im an admisnistrator, its the only account on this pc, so after i click i agree to the terms the*is window pops up and says

"This program will install SCSI Pass Through Direcr (SPTD) layer on your computer. WARNING - SPTD is not compatible with the kernal mode debuggers, (softICE, WinDBG etc.)! Please cancel setup if you plan to use kernal debuggers on this machine."

so i click next and then another window pops up after like 2 seconds and says:

            "Failed to oped config Key."

I click ok and the program shuts down.

Try a different version of daemon instead of their newest try 3.47

That would be the easiest solution. Note that there is a sticky thread on this exact problem in the DT forum: http://www.daemon-tools.cc/dtcc/t872...lling-403.html .

I bought Battlefield 2 deluxe edition and I tried making the mini image following this tutorial, but it keeps saying to insert the installation disc when I try to run the game. I tried v4.00 and 3.47 of daemon tools and it still doesn't work.

Have you tried downloading a mini-image? That's what I've been using ever since the game was released.

For those of us that don't own alcohol burning software, besides gamecopyworld, where can I download this as I have the DVD version?

                          Thanks in advance,

Great guide man. Thanks for sharing.

Two quick questions; do I just cancel the image-making process when it's grabbed a few megs? And that will work?

Dang. I tried the **** patch over at megagames.com, and punkbuster kicks me back to my desktop. lol

I'd hate to have my stats reset as I've spent a lot of hours trying to improve my game.

I have the DVD version of BF2 perhaps that's the problem?

Anyone else know where I could simply download a mini image for BF2? Then I can mount it using Daemon tools.
                                TY
