        Re: Forgiving ALL the TK's.

accedental TKs should be forgiven. However, I do not agree that we should forgive all TKs including the intentional ones. this will just encourage the idiots who kill intentionally to do it more.

If someone TKs me intentionall then if he does not get kicked immidiatly by an admin then I will take care of the punishment by myself (with the help of my clanmates).

We, the DUCKS, decided to team against the inetntional TKs. if one of us gets killed intentionally then we will make the life of that TKer like a $@^@#$^.

Search these forums for Localization guide and you should find the thread I got that from.

That is not a reliable way of telling if it is intentional or not.

          Take this example:
I edited my localization files. Now it tells me what weapon was used in the teamkill. I found that to be not reliable and that is why I think DICE decided not to show which weapon was used in the teamkill.

once I placed a landmine in a very obvious and clear point then I got in an HJ-8 ground defence. a nice teammate immidiatly ran over that landmine. I "teamkilled" him with the landmine, but the game said that I killed him with HJ-8 (the weapon I was using at that moment when he got teamkilled). So editing the localization files will tell you which weapon your teammate was holding when you were killed, but not the one that actually killed you. This is bad especially against engineers and hand grenades. You can imagine countless cases similar to this one.

do not rely on that much.

most the tks i "make" on karkand. Ima Jhaad fanatic :p . Now i dont kill my mates with the c4 (almost never , im really good at using jhaad , really) but by driving people over on the way lol. Not intentionally , but there are always this idiots , that , even if they see you , cross the road right in front of you . I mean seriously , they watch you coming , and right before you passing , they want to cross the street and get killed and OF COURSE i get punished for 99% of the time.

I however try to be fair when it comes to punish, and decide each case if i punish or not. Of course, if someone would kill me to get copter/plane, there isnt even a question , but if i get killed in combat , i considering first. List of stuff i usually punish for :

noob tube mates , spamming in general (be it grenades , c4 whatever). I dont get much tked tho.

what i always forgive are "vehicle tks" incl copter crashes etc (if enemy copter/plane crashes into us etc) or vehicle explodes etc. However if im in a bh and see that the pilot has 0 skill and cant fly for 5 cents , ill punish him the second i get tked lol.

              Re: Forgiving ALL the TK's.

The server I usually play kicks me after 3 punishes. And they aren't reset after the end of a round, or a map.

I have been kicked 67 times, 95% of them as result of TK punishes. I think this is too stupid, so I always forgive.

You can do this to kill enemies too! Place a landmine somewhere and get in a Stinger. When you kill someone it says You [Stinger] Enemy.

              It's the funniest thing ever...

                Re: Forgiving ALL the TK's.

I forgive pretty much ALL TKs, unless I'm absolutely sure it's some prick who thought it would be great to blast me out of the way to get his chopper or just whoever thinks hes funny if he TKs me. There are ways of telling if TKs are intentional.

After all- I am assuming that mostly ALL people play BF2 in good spirit and with the intention of working with their team rather than against them. However, on ranked servers- there is an extreme lack of concern and courtesy simply driven by greed. They're the kind of people who if they saw a lamington with legs ran off a cliff- they'd follow it and do the same, just to get the lamington.

I know how it feels, some idiots climb the ladder where there's a big red skull and punishes you, the same thing for landmines; full jeeps are killed and everyone punishes you; an idiot jumps in front of your jeep, giving you absolutely no chance to stop and punishes you, etc.

This happens to me too, I am tired of being punished, but still I forgive all the TKS.

I never punish due to the feeling it gives me when I am punished. I have Teamkilled 30 times total and every time but two where punishes. It makes me feel sick to my stomach as I have never team killed on purpose, it really puts me in a bad mood too just because the fool ran ONTO my grenade that he had watched me throw ahead of him.

Dont really have time to read the whole thing but i think that if the tk was unintentional then you should simply forgive EVEN if the guy who killed you is very clumsy or a noob or whatever...

I punish everyone I can, just to prove a point. Point being that it doesn't make a damn bit of difference if I punish you or not.

                          lol

                          True wulf good point :)

I was ferrying trooploads into the battle last night in a BH, had two squaddies on guns and VOIP we were laying into the enemy having great fun, back and forth with full loads each time, bravely landing in the hottest spots, hell of a firefight

I came back to the airfield for repair, couldn't find it but saw an APC with an engineer in at the end of the runway so I hovered (yes hovered) :) over him and was getting repaired when the must be 12 yr-old admin booted me for loitering lol

But like you I've stopped caring about idiots there's always beer mate and another server

I always forgive TKs if not actually 100% in my face and I never TK under any circumstances other than accidentally

I try to look at each situation before i punish or not, but I almost always punish when TKed by a grenade. It annoys me greatly.

I always forgive, unless the guy is a jerk, or it was intentional, and even then most of the time i forgive unless its like the 2rd time tking me on purpose.

I love it when you there is a bunch of you in a blackhawk, something goes wrong, everyone dies and sure enough..."RustyAnkles teamkills ...fill in 5 names)...you have no idea what just happened, everyone saw you just sitting there doing nothing yet they still punish you. Unbelievable.

The ONLY time I will ever punish someone is if they kill me for a vehicle.
