Actually, if you take a look in movies and books spanning even to today, the man is always more moral to kill than a woman. Women are still viewed as being "weak and vulnerable". Ever heard the phrase "protect the women and children"?

Women in BF2 would be a major turnoff for me. Besides, a bunch of perverted 10 year olds would probably make a FRAPS porno with it or somethin... Sorta like what's goin on with the POTD:laugh:

im not against this idea but im not for changing it. look. this game is INTENCE war. i would almost go crazy if i had to shoot girls in a war game. it just would be kinda sad.
and think if some of my female friends were over and i was blasting girls in a video game. lol.
i think that if you are a girl just froget the character that your being. its not a freaking mmorpg or something. no one is gonna say. wow that character is cool, i think they are a good representation of the person behind that character. the most you look at an indvidual character is if
          1 your knifing them
2 your looking at their head through a scope
3 you are shock paddling them
4 you got a new vid card and wanna look at the detail

And then they have the nerve to call us sexist? I've played bf1942/CSS/BF2 with women..... Never once have I heard them complain. My penis big. I hate drama queens.

Yeah but you could always put females in the chinese, MEC, or ESPECIALLY the insugents.

And I always believed that women actually fought just like the guys nowadays.

I don't see the big fuss about having female soldiers. what's the big deal? Do the guys not only need the biggest and most 1337 unlock but also need to be confident that their digital soldier actually has a little soldier?

Now having females in BF42 would be ridiculous, but in BF2 it would actually fit IMHO.

lol, I no. I have played with girls in CSS and Socom 3. I don't hear them having PMS attacks about their characters. But in Socom 3, there is a girl character in water works and a couple of others maps. But in the case of BF2, all I got to say is this ---> "you wont be able to see your character, since it's a FPS game " And plus, If some girl does complain, she complains to the people who are playing the game, not the people who desgined it :thatsbad:

                      Re: Girl BF2

Women are not allowed on the battlefield. My sister is apart of the USMC; within the handbook it says, "Women are allowed in areas where battles are taking place, they will be given a weapon, but under no circumstances will they be sent on specific missions designed to defend/push out enemy combatants." Yes, I know that BF2 is not the most realistic game, but they do have the main fundamentals. If you do email EA, I bet their reply will be the same. That, or the fact that the situation in Battlefield 2 is fictional, therefore they can do whatever they want with the game. Just because they do not add female character models to the game does not classify them as sexist, it classifies them as people who care about the well-being of females. If you want to know what women do on the battlefield, they drive hummers around between countries hauling supplies to bases. Once they reach bases, the supplies then are transferred into 'hot zones'. Or, other things they do are: repairs, lay direct telephone cords, (un)package supplies for transfer, first aid (away from the battle). I hate to break it to you, but women in the military are generally not classified as the kind that go out to the frontlines and take out enemies. They support the military from the back; i.e. they fulfill all of the necessities in cooking meals, transferring supplies and do all other things. Men do the same, but women are first assigned.

I'm not sexist, I do believe in equality between the sexes; but I would honestly prefer to see a man getting shot over a woman. Also, when's the last time you saw a middle eastern woman holding a gun towards the USMC?

If you find other female military personell in other video games, that's fine; but just remember that it wasn't BF2, and EA doesn't have to make games to be like other games.

Women aren't allowed to serve on the frontlines in the military. However, this game is set in the future, and if we went to war with an "MEC" and the entire chinese army, we might be willing to change those rules.

However....have you seen a female marine? *shudders* WAMS!

                            Re: Girl BF2

The idea is/was just to give the option to females if they want to. Not necessarily depict authentic combat.
I mean it's not going to kill you to let a girl gamer play as a girl character in BF2.
It may not be "real", but their are alot of things that are not real in BF2.

If that were true there would be no cross hairs, no shock paddles, no revives, no bunny hopping, no insta proning, etc, etc.
The truth is it's about fun. I know many females would consider the game more often if they knew they could play as a female character.
Truthfully, to me, it's not a HUGE deal.I could take it or leave it.
But I would not pull the "realism" card on this decision. It would be a gameplay decision. Again, I am talking from personal experience, some girls won't play this game because of it.

The weird thing is that IRL the vast overwhelming majority of women don't want to go to frontline combat(not that they're technically "allowed to" in the US military anyway, or any military IIRC). They don't want action, meaning fire fights ,etc.
And MRS did bring up a point that she doesn't really look at her character anyway. But I guess not all girl gamers feel the same way as she does.
And I agree that if more females wanted it (although if they're NOT playing anyway because of the lack of female skins) they SHOULD ASK FOR IT.
