Ahh, it's okay, Deez. Vistrel is entitled to his opinion and his feedback is welcome. I did send you a PM, though, Vistrel, asking if you could make a slight edit to your post. Actually, come to think of it, I'd need you to do the same, Deez (just to remove the reference to what happens because I really wanted that to be a surprise for people).

Incidentally, Deez and $hArp$h0t, I used Fraps and Premiere Pro 1.5. There was no motion blur added; the footage just came out that way when I started recording at slower speeds and then speeding it back up in post-production.

For Talus and everyone else experiencing slow speeds from FileFront, I'm in the middle of uploading the video to RapidShare and I'll update the thread as soon as I've got the resultant link. My internet connection is 256/64, so I've got a fairly warped idea of what's fast. For me, getting 25KB/s from FileFront is standard.

Again, thanks to everyone who has commented so far. It's great to see so many familiar people expressing their opinions. :)

I do get out and there's fine line between comedy and nonsense. I guess author wanted opininon about his video, and that's what he got.

That was brilliant! It was so beautiful I could have just sat there for ages admiring the picture perfect frames and transitions.
It's the best Battlelauncher footage I have even seen, and the craftsmanship is amazing.
I can't find any other words, it's a must download even if you don't like the story, its excellent choreography.
                Very well done.

Thanks, Xalias! I'm a big fan of "The Razzamatazz Compilation" and, in fact, watched it many times over during the creation of this project. I still owe you some proper feedback because there were so many things I enjoyed about your work.

Oh, and although I think it's a fantastic piece of software capable of yielding phenomenal results -- NeoRicen's latest project being a perfect example -- I didn't use BattleLauncher for any of this project. All of it was filmed using Fraps and the BF Recorder. Had I used BattleLauncher, it probably would have taken a lot longer to get the necessary shots, so I chose to use Fraps instead.

I'm surprised you didn't use Battle launcher, yet I'm relieved some what about using fraps because I can see it's potential.
So that must me a 60 fps setting, full screen or what? - I only use 30 because my computer simply can't handle any more.
Was it speeded up to make it smoother?
I know lot of tricks, but I'm still learning all the time, which is one of the great things about being a movie maker, there's always something to make it better.

                      Re: [BF2 MOVIE/Parody/Sketch ] "Khalid's Surprise"

Actually, Xalias, the Fraps settings I used were 30fps, full-size.

I think Fraps is unjustly maligned as a program because of the demands it places on system resources but if you've got some money to play around with or, like me, you're willing to financially cripple yourself, certain hardware upgrades will enable you to get great results. At no point during the filming of "Khalid's Surprise" did my frame-rate dip below the 30fps I set for recording each shot.

The biggest advantage, of course, is you can load the bf2demo files and take your sweet time exploring possible angles, filming sample shots and experimenting with a wide variety of camera movements. Of course, you can do all the same things using BattleLauncher but it does take longer. I don't even want to think about how long it would have taken me to achieve the same shots by recording cam files and then rendering each and every time. Half the time I attempted an elaborate shot, I got it wrong and had to start over and that's where Fraps was particularly advantageous.

I totally agree with you that one of the very best things about movie-making is that you're constantly finding new ways of doing things. In fact, the more you learn, the more you realise you don't know ... and that's really exciting.

Your absolutely right. Everytime i make one i learn something and get better and better each time. If you need and actors let me know. By the way even though there is a tutorial on Battlerecorder i still cant get it to work. I am a admin to a ranked server and tried to get it to DL to my site but still having trouble.

Man, all I got was sound. As it was loading on my Windows Media Player, I saw "Error loading codec"
                                How can I fix this?

EDIT: Nevermind, I fixed it. Just needed to install the latest Xvid codec
