It's worth noting this was on Kubra, so it wasn't a zipline or anything.



Ooh, interesting idea here. In fact-don't some US jets in real life have missiles called 'Mavericks'? Dunno, I'm going to sleep so I'm not going to hit google up. But with the TV missile on the chopper or the laser missile in the jet sounds probable...

Just thought I'd post it up. 180 hours of playing and I'd never seen it before.

It is the the Guided Missile from the F-15 perhaps?
I wouldn't give any credence to it, the game lists the HIND as the MI-35 when it is in fact the MI-24.

(Well you could knock me over, I just googled MI-35 and damn if the MI-24 hasn't been redesignated MI-35P!, my bad )

Yeah, I doubt even dice would be stupid enough to call something other than the actual Maverick a Maverick.

I did all three kills there the same way. The Mrs threw a nade and partly damaged herself. Then I blew the BTR-90 with the cobra. She stood at just the right distance so it shows the weapon she got damaged by prior, then the BTR-90 blows and it displays that weapon. Get too close and it displays you get killed by the BTR-90

But it was how it was done which confused me as I was in a cobra and they obviously don't have mavericks.

Yep, the BR footage sure was puzzling! Well done on reproducing it and coming up with all these other ones. I bet you can now have a fun old time confusing your server's players by killing them with weird and wonderful weapon names!

Good thing my sharp eyes caught it in time for a screenie I guess!

Yep you are right there man as you see when he died I was rather busy dog fighting the other heli and didn't even notice it.

We had a bit of fun stuffing around seeing the different names. To pull that kinda thing off again in game will be very rare.

Basically almost any weapon you can think of can work this way. It was a stroke of luck we worked it out because the Mrs was stuffing around throwing grenades after we were trying to reproduce it and I noticed I killed her with a grenade without throwing it, then it clicked how to do it.

We had no luck getting the smoke grenades to work though. We only tried BF2, next I wanna try some weapons in SF. Especially the zip line, grappling hook etc.

The KORD is not from the MEC transport heli either keep guessing.

The MG in the Vodnik (KORD) is exactly the same as the one in th MEC transport heli :)

Correct on both:

Hydras are the small rockets fired by the Cobra.
Kord is basically a 12.7mm PKM...

No probs it was bugging me that bad I had to work it out and try and reproduce it.

The KORD I fired was from the MEC buggy, didn't realise it would be the same as the MEC heli. I thought the screenie gave it away.
