Before, I never even realised how important to gaming RAM was.. was on 512MB, poor performance, took your advice but went the whole hog to 3GBs XD

I would have got 2GB of RAM and put the rest of the cash towards a new gfx card.

IMHO RAM is the most important part of a rig for BF2. I had 3 gigs until I upgraded to winxp64 and decided to up it to 4 gigs. I am the first person in every time i play...EVERYTIME! Nothing beats getting in quick enough on Oman to get over and steal the mig from the MEC.
