I thought EA close those servers, but their seem to be two or three out there.

The server is but i don't think the pistol/knife is anymore, I know this because i joined jumped right in a tank & got kicked 2x for using a tank, to make it worse they have a 16 aside so you could get a knife/pistol badge in a day really.

I thought for the server to even be ranked, it had to be set within a few strict guidlines regarding the server options?

It is still up and running. Tonight they had knife only, pistol only, and everything goes except arty rounds.

It's been reported to bf2rankedservers.com but they have not done anything.

They will in time stopped soon, its not allowed on a ranked server and shouldnt be....even though I love to say "thanks champ" then give a good knifing

Unranked, anything goes.
Ranked, they must follow the ROE, they are on the BF2RS forums.

Finally got a response from bf2rankedservers. They reported it to EA last night but it is still active.
