PC's rule! Consoles rule! Each in there own ways. Get both and enjoy alot of good gaming on different levels. Get your insane graphics and killer multiplayer on your PC and then invite your buds over for BBQ, Beer and a little friendly competition on the console game of your choice.

Shouldn't we just be stoked we have all these different avenues of gaming to go with and it's always changing and getting better? I'm just gonna sit back and enjoy whatever they throw at me! :)

PGR is nothing compared to the wealth of racing titles available to the pc the best imho is GTR, and it will also look daft once GT4 on the ps3 gets here.

DOA4 is 1080i thats 1920x1080 once again thats **** compared to a pc resolution.

DOA4 is a good game and looks top notch but tekken on the ps3 will laugh at it.. consoles have always been the home of fighting games and imho surpass the pc for this due to the communal nature of consoles anyway.

PDZ is 720p again ....

PDZ .. not played it. but it have much hope does it ? an fps with a console control ....

the only reason you console fanboiz are bangin on about how good it looks is because HD gaming has finally been introduced on the TV so your now approacing the resolotions that pc's have been enjoying for years..

you knocked on about how good it was when it came over (improved too) to the pc it was crap... there was more gameplay and fun in duke nukem. conbat evolved ? combat is bollocks and not challanging more like......

lastly i do know what im talking bout as i have a 42" HD plasma and have spent evenings playin with friends on a 360 but will be buying a ps3 when they come out.

Go and play PDZ, you'll be impressed. The textures through out the entire game are far superior to anything currently out on the PC.

Most of you seem to be forgetting that the games for the 360 are LAUNCH titles and that the games will look better and better as the 360 ages. Not to mention half of these launch titles are ports from inferior consoles.

Oh, and those raving about the PS3 need to have some common sense knocked into them. Sony hyped the living **** out of the PS2 and it looked like garbage. Not to mention Sony hasn't been known to show actual gameplay footage. You people are either really gullible, blind, or just plain stupid.

I actually might be moving to console gaming, after the last month and so i've been reading up on the 360 and learning more and more about the games. I went to best buy a total of 3 times to play the 360, i played pgr3 for about an hour and all i have to say is.. SWEET! It was actually very fun, and the graphics were stunning. I also played callofduty2 for the 360, wich ran very good aswell and was also fun. I'm probably going to get my 360 next month, (as i've alwase said if you have all seen me post here, march) and once i do i'm looking into getting PGR3 and Perfect dark zero. Both of wich look visually amazing. I don't really know about this Battlefield2 for the 360 yet. So far whenever it's come up about the game at the xbox.com forums all they've said was how bad the version was for the xbox, and all it'll be is improved graphics. I myself have never played the first MC (i have it for pc, along with special forces, why do i need that crap? lol) so i don't know how the gameplay is.

That doesn't mean i upgraded my pc for no reason (ok maybe i should have bumped up the ram) but look, if i hadn't, i couldn't play great games like F.E.A.R., or even games like Quake Wars and UT 2007 when they release, wich arn't comming on the 360. You FANBOYS are killing yourselves either way. On one side you console fans won't be able to play the great PC games rolling around for 2006 such as Quake Wars, but on the other you pc fans won't be able to play great games on somthing like the 360 in 2006, such as Gears Of War. I get to have both pieces.

I'll also never have to upgrade my 360. But, i can't be a hypocrite, i have to say if i'd bought a 7800, upgraded to 2 gigs of ram, i'd probably never have to upgrade my pc for awhile (or as long as the 360 is out) aswell.

The xbox 360 version of BF2 looks stunning. Those screenshots are awful, granted -but check out the videos at IGN (link below) and check out those visuals!!

This video in particular caught my attention. The shadows, lighting and weather combine really well. Also, the it appears the Chinese voices are "english" spoken, but with Chinese accents... which personally I prefer.

What 360 does which PC's cant:
There are some lovely effects in the 360 too; like new weather conditions (rain) and the explosions and smoke plumes really add an extra dimension to the game. There appears to be some pseudo HDR effects being used too which is nice.

Sure, the resolution aint much... but at least with the 360 version it should all work out of the box; no crashes to desktops, no "Your connection to the server has been lost", no disabling multi-core CPUs and updating PukBuster etc etc.

360: where it sucks
As for the 360 "game"... well the single-player game has been murdered -it appears to be aimed at a much younger audience (fair enough -we are dealing with console demographics here). Not sure on the multiplayer side; but 16 and 24 player servers sounds horrible. I suppose that could work though if the maps reflect it; possibly smaller 2 squad (per side) maps could be fun... but certainly it wouldnt be the BF2 we hv all come to love and hate.

Best of luck to the 360 version... bottom line is that it's gonna be a different game to what we have, so I can't imagine any1 leaving PC to play 360.

Graphically speaking though... wow, I hope they bring some of those effects to the PC. Stuff like rain, wind, snow and sand storms would be quite cool.

Image quality is down to the TV. My cousin's 32" 720P whoops my DELL 2405FPW in terms of brightness, detail, vibrance and importantly: speed and framerate. Your choice to condem console gaming based on resolution alone shows ignorance.

720P (1366x 768) is in fact a brilliant resolution. Until texture resolutions go up substantially we don't need 1920x1080. Do you own a 1920x1080 capable monitor? There is not much difference between 1600x1200 and 1920x1080, and a tricked-out 4xAA 1600x1200 dominates 1920x1080 with no-AA -in terms of frame-rate and image quality.

Progessive scan 1366x 768 (720p) looks beautiful on a decent HDTV. 720P pwns a leet 1600x1200 LCD monitor. 720P pwns my hi-res DELL. And don't start comparing a $1500, 1080P SLI-setup to an xbox 360 either, because that doesn't work.

Dollar for dollar the 360 and PS3 fight well against the PC in terms of visuals. Where they exceed is in terms of online delivery: something you don't address. Xbox LIVE makes online play very transparent and accessable. Sheesh kebab: some players in these forums can't even stay connected to a BF2 server for more than 5 minutes without being DC'd! Some people (like myself) have to disable our multi-core CPUs each time we play BF2! I don't recall Xbox users doing such things!

You're not taking into to account that 1080i is Interlaced. 720P is widely accepted as offering higher IQ than 1080i. Drop your fanatasism with resolutions. Progressive scan owns Interlaced.

PS3 will have a mouse and keyboard, fyi. I agree though... Microsoft's decision to deny 360 owners a mouse/kb setup is bizarre. I can see why they done it, but I think the alienate their console from a lot of PC users by doing so.

That's because it was brought to the PC by a bunch of nubes called Gearbox. They probably had zero support being as it's in Microsoft's interest to keep the xbox version the 'best'. Originally HALO was a pc game, and Bungie was bought out by MS to make Halo a launch game for Xbox.[/quote]
