There are two seats in the chopper. One for the pilot, one for the gunner. If you're on my server and you do not allow someone to gun for you because you think your l33t, then your not worth having on our server (just my opinion). Our server tries to promote teamplay and good sportsmanship. We play for the fun of the game and the teamwork, not to get into ****ing contests and show off. That being said, if you play on our server and fly around in the chopper by yourself and won't take a gunner, while shooting tv guided missles, then yes, I will kick most likely kick you. See, the game is designed to be a cooperative effort by everyone on the team. I would imagine (yes, this is an assumption) you also **** and moan when someone tells you to take on a gunner. Maybe you insult other players and tell them they suck at being your gunner. Maybe you're the type that gets upset when you can't be in the chopper and resorts to calling people names and making racist comments. Maybe I am wrong. I doubt I am, but anything is possible.
The chopper spins out of control for a reason. It does so because you're not supposed to switch seats. I know this may come as a shock to you, but some people like being part of a team and sharing the experience with others. Flying in a chopper should be a cooperative effort between the gunner and pilot. IMHO it is not a one man job. I suspect I am not alone in this thinking.
What you think is or is not absurd does'nt matter to me. You're not going to change your way thinking for me as I am not going to change mine for you. Everyone has an opinion and you think flying a chopper solo is cool. I think it's stupid and a waste of a gunners seat. We agree to disagree. As long as you are'nt doing it on my server, then it does not matter does it?

I think he plays on the Seal Team Six server because they don't give him a hard time and they always hold the chopper for him. To answer the other guys response you are correct also when you switch seats in a downward angle it will drop, so what he is doing is impossible. I asked him about it once but he won't say a word to anyone, even when you are on his squad. He just flys around dominating. It would be different if he was somewhat level circling flags, but at the angle he is at it is impossible, and to switch seats doing it is mindboggling. Stop in the server when he is on , grab some popcorn, and watch the show.

i used to switch seats to fire the heat seeking missiles in the cobra on battlefield vietnam, that was harder cos the heli started to fall down like a rock...
i dont like going on my own even tho i can do it, having a good gunner imo is much more fun... so even if he cant shoot the tv missile he still let rip on the cannon and for me thats enough.. i like being copilot tho tbh cos the tv missiles are hawt...nothing like having a good pilot line u up and booM!

Someone may actually be as good as you claim, or perhaps they have just tweaked the game file a little bit. Not saying this guy has, but hex editing a game file probably happened about 10 minutes after the very first video game was released many years ago.
I always look a little suspiciously at anyone with "supernatural" abilities.......
it should simply not be possible to switch from pilot place to another when flying (all copters/planes). its against any logic and imho its a glitch and should be dealed as such (kick+ ban etc)
Your are right Chevy, and that is why I posted this. Everyone that has seen this guy fly has said WTF but that is as far as it goes. I hesitate from calling anyone a cheater until I get all the facts, so I posted this to find out if anyone else can do this, I don't think anyone can. There are alot of hacks for this game, and probably alot of private hacks, but one that alters the flying physics? The only reason I have to not call him a cheater is that I'm sure if it was some kinda kind of hack or mod SURELY someone else would have figured this out and duplicated it, but I have seen no one that could do this. I love the DA server Illusion, but only when I'm ony your side lol. You guys are fantastic at taking over a map, but as good as you guys are, you will have to see this guy fly man to understand what chopper domination is all about

There are a lot of things in this game that goes against logic, but remember, it's still a game. I do agree with you that's it's stupid that this can be done. Mainly because it doesn't promote team work.

You're wrong, but I am not in the mood to debate the issue. Maybe you should take the time to read the EA agreement as it relates to what is and is not allowed by admins who run a private, open server.
Take a few minutes and free your mind. Pay special attention to #3.

No one is a god in a chopper. I ran into some people doing it on Dalian Plant. I couldn't get off the carrier going straight ahead both choppers were a good distants up in the air, and firing them accross. I just went all the way around came in behind them and aced both of them. Sn00ker or some bs name like that. The other guy was in the chopper at first he was skunk fish or some bs. I rocked them.... I don't know about this guy but I ran into people who do excellent in the chopper as far as ground fighting goes but will totally advoid dog fighting, because they suck. I don't have a real high rank. I don't play very often. However I can hold my own in the chopper. I'v been beaten by Fossil.. The rest can't usually take me down, luck is luck it happens, other then that I can hold my own dog fighting. I got to admit I am a bit rusty right now.
As for the whole issue, in BFV they did fix the time ammount of time it took to switch between seats, because the cobras had air to air missiles, and a solo pilot could be deadly to planes with them. I think its lame, because in no way could you jump out of a moving chopper and then hop into the other seat. That spin the choppers go in, kind of leaves it open. I think it should be fixed, there is no skill in doing something that lame.
However leave it up to the BF2 Community to find out something lame to do. Only a fool would master such an idiotic technique, I can kill just as easy with the Hellfires on the cobra, or hydras on the apache.
