I think its kinda sad really...a couple of small paches.
Mostly to make the other paches campatable with the first ones.And now there trying to sell a chopped up addon wich will have less content then lots of the mods wich will be realised.

I mean remember BF42 when you could go single player, pump up the bots and play all day.with every wepon.tank and plane avalable.
But nooooooo.......im stuck playing 16 player maps with no jets AI or choppers flying around. . I mean how many single player maps can U take a jet. 1? and its a bomber.
Special forces> Wich map is it that you can fly the apachie against robots.
All i found so far is the Hind.
they should have called it BF1\2.

See thats just it you love BF2 and therefore you will pay for the content. Because if you were not a BF2 fan you would not be on these boards most likely and you would not be playing BF2. We as a customer can choose not to purchase the booster packs if we want to and thats how we send our message to a particular company. When we approve we buy & when we dont approve we dont buy.

No, because I think SUVs should be all but outlawed unless you have a permit from the federal government to operate one. There's no sense in these gas guzzling machines on our roadways burning more gas than needed. Then again, America is getting fat, maybe they need SUVs to carry their fat rear-end around. Maybe if we had a federal crack down on gas guzzling vehicles, they'd have to walk that fat off. Kill two birds with one stone. :)

Point being: American consumers are NOT smart. EA knows that, hence them charging you for stuff they used to give you as a bonus for having the game.

Yeah, we are stupid because we enjoy the game and will pay for more content. The 1.2 patch covers all the major problems, bunny hopping, dolphin diving, sucky AA, ect. I can't wait for the boosters to come out.

Charging for patches would be really stupid. Customer service is declining rapidly.

It used to be thegame developer would earn the money from the customer by making a complete game and now it's 'the customer pays for the right to play'.

It's a shame that modders have to fix problems w/ the game before they modify the game to make it work. EA/Dice has forgotten that mods keep the game alive for years. People buy the game just to play the mods.

Whether these groups of people are gangs, and whether the people in line at the McDonalds were a member of these groups, is still unknown.

how about that , but you do have Windows XP running on your computer, that is a car where the weels, engine, seats, ... are options and if has more bugs and leaks in it then a dam bug screen

And all the bugs in XP are getting fixed for free....just like they should be in BF2. True the patches are free but it's obvious they aren't working on them too quickly as their x-pack (did) and booster packs are probably coming out at the same time as a patch. To me that says "Here, buy our stuff. Oh, and here's some bug fixes so you don't whine too much about paying for the content." EA/Dice already turn a profit off of the servers that we HAVE to rent from them to access content advertised as free with the game.

I wouldn't care if they charged for the content if the game already included everything that I thought it came with.

and jesse theres nothing we can say to change the minds of the ppl who are going to buy this, mostly because they are new to video games and they dont know other companies allways give free new content (when dice made all the decisions about BF series), and alot of them even give us patches years after the game came out and make ppl play them (diablo 2 came out in 98 and a few months ago they gave us new missions and items for the game for free)

i think ppl just like being exploited...

I'm not a fan of commercialism but if no-one thought 'hey we could make loads of money making those games' when I was playing space invaders we'd still be playing it now.

I would have given anything then for games like these, happy enough to pay £30!
