These booster packs really seem like a probe to see if people actualy buy into the korean pay to play with the best items and such trend. We already have it overtly put into SF, you want a more effective weapon? Buy and use our new product for your base product.
In some of these free games i see this uber powered stuff that can only be bought out side of game so it's basicaly like a system that is going to become bait and for anyone really into serious gameplay than switch. Maybe it's just going along with the content trickle thats gotten big press in recent months which ususaly makes for some good new content that isn't very well polished but seems cheap enough. But no matter which way it goes it just seems like loss and more loss for the consumers in the areas of bugs and balance and maybe even the mod sector as well.

But hey i got bf2 and sf for what i thought they were really worth, 10 USD a piece so i reckon a booster is worth a dollar :laugh: :laugh: :laugh:

how about that , but you do have Windows XP running on your computer, that is a car where the weels, engine, seats, ... are options and if has more bugs and leaks in it then a dam bug screen

But you need to understand that EA is releasing a patch for the bugs. That is the free content is the fact that they were nice enough to release a patch for free. Trust me in the near future patches will not be so free.

um yes they will be free or EA will lose business and/or be subjected to lawsuits

Profit is good, nice attempt at constructing an arguement to trap people. I've nothing wrong with profit as long it's done within reasonable means.

What exactly are reasonable means? You think there is a limit to how much profit someone ought to make? Assuming that profit did not come at any government favors, or some type of fraudelent/illegal means, what amount or type of profit is unreasonable?

Profit is good, nice attempt at constructing an arguement to trap people. I've nothing wrong with profit as long it's done within reasonable means. I think its kinda sad really...a couple of small paches.
Mostly to make the other paches campatable with the first ones.And now there trying to sell a chopped up addon wich will have less content then lots of the mods wich will be realised.

I mean remember BF42 when you could go single player, pump up the bots and play all day.with every wepon.tank and plane avalable.
But nooooooo.......im stuck playing 16 player maps with no jets AI or choppers flying around. . I mean how many single player maps can U take a jet. 1? and its a bomber.
Special forces> Wich map is it that you can fly the apachie against robots.

they should have called it BF1\2.

I agree. What value I hold in a product, is subjective. Which is why saying making a profit is ok, so long as it is a reasonable profit, is a ridiculous thing to say. If something is reasonable, it must be held to objective standards. What value I hold in a product, is subjective.

Let me get this straight, you are saying patches to fix bugs in a game released too early for profit should be charged for? Will be charged for? I think the companies that never consider this path will have the loyalty and gratitude of the cust. Loyalty and high praise for waiting till the game is near perfect before releasing it. One perfect game and the sales that result will pay for the next, especially with electronic delivery of those games, reducing the cost associated with release. If your game does not need patches then you wont have to charge for them.

But they are not fixing a lot of the bugs that's the trouble. The red tag friendly/blue tag enemy for example. I could list a pages worth of bugs that are so far not fixed and so far are not fixed in patch 1.2

Patches are for 1 thing. They couldn't get it right in the 1st place and if they want to start charging us for their incompetence I will no longer buy their games.
