i mean some will say its just a alternative but i ask what capibilities will it bring? we have the shoot through glass now with the unlock. so what can this bring which is new? an adjustable sight would be nice!
It is just another .308 Winchester sniper rifle. Do not expect much of a difference with the M24.
The sniper version of the XM-8/ G36 or the H&K PSG-1, would have been better choices for unlock.
Maybe give the sniper an MP5K instead of a pistol would have made the kit much more complete and would make the new unlock quite desirable.... wink, wink!
How does it compare to the Challenger in a combat situation? Well... since the UK and the US are allies... we will never know.
Back to the sniper rifle.... it is an anti personel rifle and will not be mush differetn from the M24. It is still a .308 Win, bolt action rifle, with floating barrel. It is just ligether and the stock folds.
There are really not many choices in the sniper department.... sorry!

M1A2 is pretty far down on the tank list, afterall, it was developed in the 70s.
No offense but I kind of am disappointed with the new sniper rifle. I was hoping for something bizzare and crazy...something new and different to bring to the battlefield. I mean I am not saying this rifle will suck, just was hoping for something like...m21 or psg1 or...the russian VSS or the Walther WA 2000...just something different...something crazy lol.

I dont know exactly when it was developed, but even if it was developed in the 70's, that would be the m1a1 model. We used that thing up through the gulf war. The m1a2 model is the modern version, with new gizzmos and...stuff lol.
But really, who cares who has the best equipment...I always laugh at these kinds of discussions where my countries crap is better than yours kinds of things...who cares?! If you want to get down to it, my country, the usa, could nuke your country 20 times over...and we would all die, if not in the explosions than from the nuclear winter...and the winner in it all would be the freaking roaches!

actually I am an US citizen, i am just speaking the truth.
If the new rifle is like the M24 thats fine, because the MEC and China need a sniper rifle with more stopping power. It wont help the US much, but if the M95 is adjusted correctly all will be equal in the sniping world of BF2.
