I have heard the same thing too, in fact some claim that the kit is now overpowered...

who knows what they are thinking with doing that. Did you see the video?

Looks to me that's when a lot are going to get killed, where before they wouldn't have.

Amen. I hate spraying at someone and not hitting him at all.

            Yes and no.
I've never been one to cry for game balance fixes. In fact, I have believed, and still believe them to be of the lowest priority and often for the worst than for the better.
However, here DI CE may just have done a very perfect thing: They have made two classes more useful.
I've always found it somewhat dubious that the support guy in a squad was usually much less feared than the medic, or the specop by infantrymen.
The support guy now being able to lay down intimdating cover fire will maybe entice squads to enlist close-support snipers to pick off the support guy before he mows down everyone in sight, so the rest of the squad can assault successfully.
So he may seem "overpowered" in 1 vs 1 situations, but on a global game balance scale, it's a pretty perfect decision.

This will be a great change! This is how it should have been at release. Some people are going to be upset because they will have to relearn how to play. This is a small price to pay for better LMG accuracy that is supposed to be in the patch as well. God forbid support kits can actually support their squadmates! Laying down heavy fire albeit with slightly reduced mobility is what it's all about. Judging from the video alone, it didn't seem like it was a great difference in time to prone anyway.

              Can't wait for the patch!

Would be nice if support had either mortors or mines.

Isn't there enough things in this game that go 'boom'?

Please, less splash damage, more aiming, more guns.

As for the support tweaks, maybe I'll be able to gets some ammo refills for a change, lol. Nothing worse then having no support players around when you run dry.

The support has an unlimited amount of ammo and grenades via the ammo packs which are much more spamy than health. So why make the engineer more worthless in compairson to other kits?

Right. Like the support class is ever going to be overpowered.

It will be used more like it should be used. Greater distance and not for attacking, but for actually supporting. Nice additions!

Actually all the support guns hit max dev by 2 or 3 rounds. As long as you can compensate for the recoil and keep the crosshair on the target burst fire is pointless except to avoid overheat.

making the PKM have less accuracy than the SAW was just lame.
The only LMG that's more accurate than the PKM is the MG36. It is certainly more accurate than the SAW.

Support will be a great class for squad leaders.... just stay out of hot zone and lay support fire!!!

Re: So how do support players feel?

While you can kill the enemy with support it is harder than it should be...

If you are at any real distance from a support guy and have an assault rifle then you will probably win the shootout, unless the support guy gets in a luck hit or two... So I think a little more accuracy for the support class when prone will add to the depth of the game making tactical movement more important than sprinting and bouncing...

Just so long as they don't go to far and it ends up like the M60 in BFV all over again!!
