That was one of the main reasons I stopped using the support weapon becasue I could not hit nothing but around the enemy. Good move. Support usually spend time in the prone anyway, if they are play right iwth suppresive fire.

I can't wait for this patch. It's about damn time that the Support weapons are made dangerous enough so that people actually start running AWAY from a deployed MG, not bunny-hopping towards one.

lol that's a first:laugh: I have NEVER seen a guy bunny hopping towards my machingun because bunny hoppers are the easiest to kill, just fill the air up with lead.

I'm looking forward to it, but on the other hand I'm not. See I like the fact that it takes a bit of effort to use the support guns well and so that usually means there aren't a lot of support guys around.

Hopefully they make em just a little bit more accurate so that people who use it lots go "ahhh awesome" but the guys who don't use support still go "WTF this is stupid I can't hit anything!?!?!?! BACK TO SPEC OPS!"

Also, slowing down the prone action is fine, as a support player I usually hang around near the back of the squad to give them as much covering fire as I can, already in a prone position.

I like the support weapons now and I'll be happier to see the accuracy improved.

The guns accuracy didn't need any tweaking but I'm really glad that it's going to take time to go prone now because I came from Day of Defeat before this game and in DoD there was a slight delay before going prone and most fights were crouch wars but I was a master at using prone at the right times so I'll feel right at home with the new patch.

It'll just be way easier killing people trying to rush you who will have to make themselves a bigger target by crouching rather than instaprone and support will have the advantage of being a smaller target plus you'll have the accuracy advantage also if you're playing smart and posting up at your position instead of running around instaproning everywhere.

I can't wait to use the patch to my advantage to get my support vet/exp badges. :)
Are you kidding? PKM is my fav gun, but I can recognise its ****-poor accuracy.. I mean come on, it weighs 16kilo, and in RL those things HAVE to be accurate enough to kill. I know for a fact (my grandpa) that sometimes you need a spray-an-pray (BAR was too accurate, some deviation required) but making the PKM have less accuracy than the SAW was just lame. I cry LAME!!!!

Thats bollocks, I didnt know about this. Thats total ********.

Especially in CQC situations with high rate of fire weapons like the M249. Its great to hit the deck and rattle people.

I dont see this as a great help compared to everything else whored in the game if anything it makes us more of a sitting duck for people who saw us first. Anyway I think the support weapons have fine accuracy, im prone the whole time anyway when I shoot them why would you want to stand and shoot? This is total gayness.

I love support now, especially since I have gotten use to the M249 and totally mow with the MG36.

This always happens, they wait too long and then change TOO MANY THINGS at once and its completely not the same game when you go back to it.

From when I first got the game I automatically binded prone as space as it helps alot with accuracy. Ahh this is gay.

I don't see how you can think that

like I said I came from DoD and this prone delay they're adding doesn't even seem like it takes nearly as long to happen as the one in DoD did, yet in DoD I could beat even the biggest wallhacking snap strafe Kar whores by going prone at the right time in the right place. It's gonna force support players to "look before you leap" so to say but the advantages you'll have over the noobs who rush rush rush every flag will be mowed down the way they should and support won't be a substitute for an assault rifle. It doesn't even make sense for a 30 lbs. weapon to be used in CQC. LMGs are supposed to set up in a postion and cover their fire sector but I guess some people will still have this crazy idea in their head that a PKM should be used like a battle rifle to clear rooms and assault flags.
