i really have probs with a tv missile, i just cant control it, i'm way better as the pilot

Just try to click slow it takes a good amount of pratice. I used to get all excited when i fired the tv and i would hit left click like crazy. Now when I fire it may only hit left click once or twice depending on how far away they are.

I am pretty decent with the TV guided, I have taken down multiple moving targets, mostly other attack helos, and as important it is to have a good gunner being a good pilot is helpful as well. No good having a pilot who won't give you a decent view with the TV guided. Many times I will switch to it and I have no targets in my sights, most noob pilots want to get the kills themselves so they make a rocket run and then just head back to base to refill on ammo.

Sometimes I get horrible stuttering in the TV view, and the pilot can even see the missile slowly hop from one point to the next, although everything else in the game goes smoothly. Near impossible to hit sh*t all when that occurs.

I'm so tired of jumping in a attack chopper as the pilot and getting a gunner who does not know how to use the tv missles.

Im a better gunner than a pliot. But Im even more tired that you, when it comes to pliots. They fly too fast and use their misslies without any reguard for their gunner.
Now lets get this stright. - When it comes to the MEC attack chopper, its the gunner thats the better half. If you think your more importain than your gunner, then get out of the chopper, you just dont have a clue.

I was gunner with some dude who was just steaming around, making my gun useless. After a few lucky shots with the TV missile, he kinds learnt abit and started to line me up with targets and stuff.... Yes, he found out that the gunner IS more effective than the pliot.

How true.
The pilot's missiles should be purely for self-defense, and if necessary to clean out houses.
I only ever use them to take out AA on the way back to base when my gunner has no missiles ready / no missiles left anymore, or to clean out the little houses that infantry hides in when my gunner can't get them.
Usually, I try to stick my nose into the door and just let him fire his chaingun though. Simply because I know from first-hand experience what it looks like to the poor infantryman inside :)

Yeah But I get it constantly on that screen, not just sporadic. Ingame name is DiabeticMedic incase I've flown with any of you.

Providing i have no lag (or even not that much...but a little) i'm really good with camera missles. But it depends on the pilot alot too. But one thing i HATE....sorry if this is you.... but i HATE the pilots that fly at like 2-10 ft above sea level... and expect you to camera shit and then get ****ed at you. I like when pilots fly like 50 or so ft. so i have room to camera at my will... because alot of the times a pilots priorities are screwed up, or he doesnt see something that you do.

For example... i see a chopper coming from the side, and i spot it like 3 times in a row.. and the pilot goes to the ground to let me kill 1 guy... and then the chopper behind us will be following us and i see bullets and missles flying past us and im like "PILOT TURN THE FUCK AROUND!!!!!!!!!"................lol but nothing.

And one more... NEVER use your missles (pilot) unless:

1. Your gunner is a private and doesnt know anything.

2. Your gunners camera missle is recharging.

i hate when i could just camera something and the jackass just goes in for a rocket run.


Well ya what im trying to say is its not always the gunners fault. Sometimes its the pilot who is at fault but doesn't realise it, but in your case it sounds the other way around.

I understand where you guys are coming from as well. You get in as the gunner and the pilot just does his own thing and forgets about you. He will go straight after another attack chopper that you could easily hit with the tv. Or the the whole time you try and use the tv the nose is straight down and the pilot seems to have no idea there is a full blackhawk coming and you could easily take it down if he lets his nose up.

Thats not how the tv missle's works. You aim at your target and if its a aircraft try to lead your shot in front. But after you fire the tv missle let go of left click. Then you can continue to guide the missle buying using left click everytime you hit left clcik it will move the missle.

True. Also, communication helps.
As a pilot, I have no problem with lining up shots patiently as long as I know the gunner is aware of what he can do with the missile.
It's okay if someone tells me he can't hit targets when I'm rolling. It's also no problem if your missile didn't fire.
Just please, for the love of god TALK to the pilot, it takes away much frustration.
As a gunner, I wish pilots would move more. I hate the stationary pilots who hover at 300, never budge when a plane comes to strafe us, don't respond to my cries for ammo, but seem to have fallen asleep.
Also, the pilots who point you towards a target, then suddenly decide otherwise because they want to take out a long medic with their missiles; or point you at a tank when a nearby AA is already raging at the chopper.
It's what drives me to solo :/

they really should use another button as same vehicle VOIP so you can talk to the other peeps in your vehicle. would be so much easier

and no gunner is better than a gun whore. they just give you away trying to chip away that choppers armour with the pea shooter grrrrrr

hahaha...ya i hate those morons that do that.

my friend and i use ventrilo to talk, and im most of the time a gunner but lately im a really good pilot.. BH and attack, but since my joysticks rudder is messed up.. i cant pilot.

i love using the tv... lol if i had it my way i would just sit back at like 400ft from every target and just camera everything. lol
