parish, get your facts straight. I, as a parent, am allowed to teach my children how to shoot a gun while i'm supervising them. Letting them play with it unsupervised would be a bad decision as a parent but that's not what I said.
I've been around weapons as long as I can remember.

Well, I won't tell you what I do for a living, I will let you figure it out by my last post. I assure you I am correct. You are not allowed to do whatever you want with your child. There are child endangerment laws in place just for the purpose of keeping people from letting their kids do anything they want. This includes supervised acts of neglect.
A person is guilty of endangering the welfare of a child in the seconddegree when:
1. He or she knowingly acts in a manner likely to be injurious to the physical, mental, emotional or moral welfare of a child less than seventeen years old or directs or authorizes such child to engage in an occupation involving a substantial risk of danger to [his] the child's life or health;
im sure that we can all agree that we play and enjoy but we all come across people that will tk for a vehicle. well sorry in my book they got the mental age of 5. so let her play, and all the best to her, bad parent this bad parent that half of the people replying to this are probably around 8-9 yrs so what do they know about parenting, (look at your own lives before judging) no one's perfect!!!!!!!
I remember the good old days when if you had a problem with someone, you would fight them. Not shoot them. If you lost, you lost. The issue was resolved and dealt with.
Ohh my god man, I really hope that you should be ashamed. Putting a 4 year old girl in front of a computer desk and then with a violent game like BF2. You are truely a bad parent. Don't let her make the same mistakes as you and become addicted.
You mean... Repressed guilt over the Lebensborn Institution era? Yeah, I thought so too.
Keep your level of argumentation to a more intellectual level, and dont come with totally irrellevant insinuations. What has lebensborn institutions to do with this issue at all? What makes you think this debate has anything to do with the german/nazi attempt to produce more arian looking children?
Since I don't have that much time to read the thread:
1. Kudos to the guy who made the bugs bunny point.
2. It's funny how people say she's becoming addicted when she only plays for an hour. Oh well, facts are no fun when you could be calling someone a bad parent right?
3. Quality time with your kids IS playing games with them if that's what they like to do.
4. Remember how peaceful times were before violent games and movies?
This thread has nothing to do with addiction or games in general. Noone said that kids should stop playing games. The debate is about 5 year old children playing 16+ rated games with violent content. If you dont read the thread - why post?
