Its a universal game move, and i hate it..when they jump around i just get closer so i can stab em. (Let em jump, thier accuracy will suck and i will go for the kill)
i love it! but the rest of you people who dont will be happy to know that in the next patch there making it so that when you jupm you cant shoot... youll only be able to hop in retreat..
also there making it so you can dolphin dive... i dont know how there gonna do it tho... maybe just make it so you prone where you are :S....
anyhoo yeah... no getting shot by people jumping like hooligans for much longer... DAMN!

I think that is a pretty idiotic way of fixing the problem. Really. They should instead increase the time you land a jump to when you are able to jump again. Like half a second or so. Or so that you slow down when you land a jump, like in CS.
Oh, and while im in on the topic, whats so wrong with cs to all you BF2 folks? I dont think alot of the people criticising cs have actually played the game for very long. It really aint a low-quality game at all. And actually firing the gun takes more skill than in BF2. Or, not if youre playing CS: Source, but Source is for noobs (Yes, I've played source as well. I have it installed)
I have gotten into the habit of jumping as soon as I see someone, because 9 times out of ten they try to tube me, I jump and most times they will miss. Jumping is a survival tactic. repeated jumping is what I do, when I am trying to reload and someone is shooting at me, when I have finished reloading I will try to kill them, sometimes I dive to prone.... guess that's dolphin diving.
The funny thing is most times you don't realize how odd it looks, I never considered myself a bunny hopper but the other day, I got banned from a server because their rule was no hopping to avoid being shot what do you do when you are being shot? run in little circles and let them kill you?
How about not getting into that position in the first place? Who says you have to empty your magazine all the time and leave yourself vulnerable? Or, how about using teamwork, where people work together to cover and protect each other?
That's what I usually do, and it works quite well. My mate and I don't hop, don't toob, don't dolphin, dive, we don't any of that crap. But we survive. We coordinate so we don't both wind up empty at the same time, and we watch the area and each other, and we communicate.
I think it shows a lack of real skill. You are free to play anyway you like but when I am killed by a bunny I dont think twice about it a go after someone with the real skill. When I first started playing, the people I wanted to be as good as were the ones using good tactics and stealth. And I have never hopped to avoid fire.
I believe that bunny-hopping could be discouraged by reducing the maximum vertical displacement attained by pressing the "jump" key. As it stands now, players can reach heights similar to those that professional basketball players routinely achieve. If this displacement was halved for example, the bunny-hopping alternative might seem a lot less desirable. Bunny-hopping frequency probably exhibits a direct correlation to the jumping height, providing the illusion that it is making one harder to hit.
Honestly? I don't mind it too much. While in the air, the enemy poses no threat to you, as they can no longer shoot. Easy picking.
And if you're the one that made the YTMND, why not give credit to the creator of that movie that you're ripping that GIF from (as well as the idea for the music)?
