No its not a personal attack.. it includes you basically as an example.. I cant stand when people start crying about jets/heli's and vehicles in general.

You use "sucker punch" and "from the comfort of the air" and you're complaining about vehicles. Jets and helis are there for a reason... to kill people, while having a big advantage over them.. and some people misuse them. Jets arent supposed to have a counter attack except for AA and opposing jets... and the AA is pretty much suicide, and if you arent in a jet.

Just be smart about where you run/walk/hide and keep in the back of your mind that there is an enemy jet around instead of jumping into a big ass group/pool of people and getting killed and blaming it on the guy in the jet.. you were the one that got yourself killed.. jet pilots use their UAV and listen to people on chat to enemies locations.. just dont bitch about it not being fair.

I see. So if I called your mom a "****ing retard", that's not a personal attack? If I told your grandmother to STFU, that would not be a personal attack?

There are other guys on this board that are pro-jet/pro-helo in it's current implementation, and yet manage to express their opinion or make their case in an educated way. Find them. Learn from them. I don't agree with those guys either, but I have more respect for them.

I've never understood this whole "hoes" thing in the game at all. The beauty of this game is that there are dozens of different things to do, and it's like a whole different game depending on what you choose. Why not pick the thing you have the most fun at, and get real good at it? I don't blame the jet jockeys for doing that at all. Indeed, I've ridden second seat with some great pilots, and it was hella fun. I hold them no ill will at all, and I'm in awe of their skills.

Now, I happen to enjoy playing in ground vehicles, which inevitably means I officially don't like planes (and to a lesser extent, choppers). As a ground pounder, they purely **** me off. I like (no, I greatly LOVE) to kill them. Mostly I use the air defense vehicles, but I have gotten credited for aircraft kills with fixed AA, tow missles, tank main guns, SRAWS, fixed and vehicle machine guns, sniper rifles, land mines, hand grenades, shotguns and once (my finest moment!) a pistol. I'd kill a plane with a knife if I could. Aircraft must die, killing them is my passion.

This game doesn't make it easy to engage air assets from the ground -- indeed, it's a real challenge to take down a jet, and in order to do it with fixed AA or an air defense vehicle, I have to accept brutal kill/death ratios. When I tangle with a good jet jockey in my air defense vehicle, he's always going to kill me two-to-six times for every time I kill him. Though I'm still getting better at it. But it's huge fun to try, and when I spend the whole game tangling with the flyboys, I put a huge hole in their freedom to win the air war against my team and pound the crud out of my fellow grunts.

I admit, one reason I enjoy this so much is that too many jet jockeys are arrogant and obnoxious. They laugh at my puny AA missles ... until I feed them four up the tailpipe after they fly over my ridge in the wrong direction. But, and this is important, I don't think they are wrong or bad or "whores" for enjoying the game their way, any more than I'm wrong or bad for getting killed a lot while taking them out of the sky.

Am I an "air defense vehicle whore"? If so, I'll wear the badge with pride -- nobody else wants the big ugly sons anyway. I usually find them sitting shiny in their sheds even on fully-engaged 64-player maps with all aircraft up. But mostly, I'm just proud to be doing a difficult job that helps my team in ways my kill ratio will never reflect.
