personally, i pick gunners up, try to get them in my squad, use voip or squad chat, and teach them how. i have tutored many and made many freinds doing so. i have people follow me around just to be my copilot (trying not to brag or be conceited). thing is i only get in the chopper if no1 else wants it, you wont find me waiting for it or whorring it. if somebody is waiting for it, i find another avenue to follow. now, i rarely get in w/ another as pilot, unless they have proven themselves by gettin some kills, then i might call for a pickup. the thing is a lot of guys can fly, but not well. honestly, the solo is a last resort. when you are up against a chopper that has a gunner who is tv-using capable and you do not it becomes a necessity.

As soon as you let go of the pilots seat the chopper spins. You cannot stop it because your gunning and the gunner does not have a joystick!

Well, the whole point of this thread is to discuss how a good solo pilot manages to handle that spin out issue when he is in gunner position.

i don't understand what is it that you can't comprehend. all you have to do is line up your target, switch to the gunner seat, right-click and fire off the missile (all of this in a split second) and then just guide it in. if your reflexes aren't fast enough to do that, forget about it and don't call those who can do it cheaters.

I am talking about people staying in gunner position for a good few minutes. It may not be just how fast you can switch.

I just had to post on this. I usually pick up a gunner if they ask, but if they suck i ask them nicely not to get in. If they want back in, i just get a jet or go ground. There alot of guys who just want to ride in a chopper and will shoot the chaingun at helo that im sneaking up on. Just wasting my time and theirs. Im always down for a good dogfight instead of solo tving. Anyways anyone wants to fly with a good pliot, gunner or challenge me and brindled. i have seen some people hit anything with the tv guided missle, even though i couldnt see them, can u say fog hack.

Im not going to read through all the pages to see if someone posted this, but what they do is line up the shot, quickly jump into the gunner spot and fire the TV guided missile. Since the chopper will spin out of control upwards instead of crashing to the ground like they would normally, they can just sit there and guide the missle and then hop back into the chopper. I've seen people do this a few times, and find it annoying since you should have a gunner...
