CAL allows it in match play, i have seen it used in match play also. what barkingsquirrel said is the same manner i do it in.

Not about BH but attack helicopters, BH seem to be stablized comparatively easily, it only spins a bit

since you spin to the right once you have switched, you must spin a lil to the left. this is so, like barking s said, when you switch and the rotation occurs you will be pointing approximately at the target.

i realize you want info on attack choppers, i was merely comparing it to switching in the blackhawk, trying to defend the use of the technique. i guess i dont really have to defend it in this thread or do i?

I tried it tonight, still no clue how they managed to do it without cheating...

i have done it but the down side is you have to hover one the spot:cry:
its not that hard to get 3-5 sec of fire(forget the missile)have done it once tho!
a better trick would be to get a chopper in the first place hehe:laugh:

Ummm it's very easy, just stabilize the chopper at a decent height (50 alt. will do) point a bit to the left of the target you want to shoot at because the chopper will start spinning to the right when you switch. Once u switch, by the time you fire off the tv your target will be straight ahead and then u just guide it then switch back to the pilot seat. You need to be decent with the TV to do this effectively though.

why not? if you can repair a blackhawk in the air? i am sure it was not necessarily meant by the developers to make the blackhawk a roaming aerial tank. there is absolutely no realism in the ability of an engineer to repair a chopper midair. and if its fun for someone mowing down all those people with miniguns, it can also be fun for some other person solo tv'ing blackhawks, which i do frequently.

They patched this out in BFV, I doubt they will in BF2. We will kick people from our server for intentionally doing this "if" they ignore a request to pick someone up. However this is no different to taking off in a jeep when people ask for a ride.

What is unrealistic about it is the chopper will spin and gain altitude rather than spin and lose altitude. IMO this needs to be fixed so its no longer possible.

Why they go backwards from the mistakes they are suppose to learn from like this and bunny hopping not being possibly in BFV amazes me.

Solo for the win. That way I don't get a crappy gunner to protect, and to protect me. I've learned I die more often when I have a gunner, because all public-gunners (almot all at least) can't fire missiles, or, can't fire missiles without having visual contact with a target.

I'll go solo as long as it's possible.

BFV was DICE Canada, BF2 was DICE Sweden. Also I'm pretty sure they communicate with each other as much/ as well as my dead father communicates with my mother.

DICE Canada did SF and as I recall, the choppers don't spin off forever when you switched seats in that. They actually spin right down in the ground.

same as my friend. he's a gunner. but most chopper pilots in pubs are not really that good, so he'd rather go solo when there's no decent pilot on his team. but he barely use the gun when he's solo'ing, he just quick switches to the gunner seat, uses the TV missiles.
