                Yes, goto:
My Documents\Battlefield 2\Profiles\Default\Audio.con and make changes to that file.

Also change your video in the VIDEO.CON file to something safe like 800x600@60hz

If you are using a different profile (other than default) you may need to go a dir called My Documents\Battlefield 2\Profiles\0001 or 0002 or 0003 and make the same changes.

Lack of support for the game, thats all, it only supports upto date Graphics Cards. Don't have an upto date Pc ? Ea doesn't care !

Throw in some cash to play the game or not play it all. This is why I'm not going to buy anymore Ea Games.

It's a text file, just use NOTEPAD to open it.

I had the same problem. I was running an ATI Radeon 9000pro. The game ran ok at medium. Well, I installed SP2 and my BF2 would make it to that same spot then freeze. I tried everything except throwing my rig out the window(I did come close though:evil: ) So I went out and got an ATI Radeon x700 pro. All is well now. The game looks alot better and no freeze ups.

im astonished a 9200, a legendarily crappy card could run a super intensive game like bf2 on medium. and SE? thats even worse! seriously, why spend all the money on a new comp just to keep a near useless card in there?

seriously, i have a 6600 GT OC and that runs it fine on medium or high, depending on ram and processor.

get a 6600 GT and youll be happy, mine can run everything at high as long as your processor and ram can cut it.

                              YOU ARENT!

i'm sure the EA leaders are trembling in their seats of this new threat!

jeez guys, stop whining! Iif your comp cant hack it, just play 1942!

its just as good! people expect a 9200, an extremely outdated and cheap card to run the latest shaders on medium?

yeah intensivecarebear its a little thing called money, and i dont have it especially after buying this cpu and mobo lol. i planned to buy the 6800 not too long from now and i would keep this card just for a little while longer because i dont have that kind of money right now. i guess my game thought otherwise so if my format doesnt work, then oh well ill be back in a couple months with nice graphics lol

and this card aint all that crappy it performed pretty well no matter how low the graphics were. i had most of them on medium and the game ran fine, its just that when i put it up to the max it would allow thats when it sucked (but that was my cpu and/or ram)
