    Verifying Client Data Fix

I know that a lot of people have trouble when verifying, it takes them like five minutes to verify, well I found a fix, but I know I'm not the only one so don't flame me. You can see it hear: http://www.bfglitches.com/vcdf.htm and I have many other guides here: http://www.bfglitches.com/guides.htm. Can you guys start signing up on the forums and get the community active. I'm getting quite a few hits, but no one seems to ever post on the forums.

    --UPDATE--

It is now known that it isn't a Punkbuster problem, but rather a hard drive problem. Other things that don't have affect is getting more ram, new processor, etc. It seems to be a hard drive error, they only thing I can think of is get a new hard drive, but first find the type of hard drive your Motherboard supports (ATA, SATA, etc.) then ask around to see if anyone has the type of hard drive you have and if it verifies quickly, then there's your answer: get that hard drive!

If you don't want to get a new hard drive you can simply play on unranked servers. To find an unranked server update your ingame server list. On the icons to the left look for a server with out a green monitor icon, this means the server isn't running pure version and it'll verify much faster. There is no known reason why it takes some hard drives so super long and other a a few seconds.

It take my hard drive: Western Digital 7200 RPM 40 gig ATA 133, 5 minutes to verify, while my friends: Maxtor 7200 RPM 80 gig ATA 100 takes a few seconds to verify.

Well it did work, but it's not working now . Does anybody know the reason? If I turn of my firewall when I play will that work?

all it does is update punkbuster, ive tried before it just means u dont have to update it painstakingly in game.

Updating punkbuster is a common suggestion for many problems but it doesn't really work.

What I did was either get the Ati 5.13 drivers or update your dot net fix to service pack 1, these are the only changes I've done to my pc and I'm running 1 gig of ram, now I don't even see the verifying client data screen, it just goes to join game.

well the verifying client data thing checks ur hard drive so it has something to do with how fast/full it is

Verifying Client Data has more to do with RAM than your harddrive. People with 2GB of RAM know this already.

Nope! I've googled for the problem to see if anyone had a fix and many people with super high end machines still get the problem.

It's not really a 'fix'. Sure, it can help, as newer version of PB scan slightly faster, but in no way does it directly impact the time it takes to verify.

Worked a few times, but now it's taking forever again. I don't think it's a hardware issue.

Might work for people who have the 5 minute wait. Mine usually takes 25 seconds with a Raptor. I applied the fix, (which did update some files), but my verify time is the same. Time to hook up the other Raptor in RAID 0.
