Yeah it can get pretty bad sometimes. One time, on that one city map (with the tv station), the US guys managed to get the MEC helo before almost everybody was even in the game. THis meant that they had 2 helos for over half the game lol. They were almost invincible up there

Yeah it would be awesome to move the start time to 30seconds. Extra bit of time for others to load up would be cool. :)

I think a 30-45 second delay for the 1st round of a map is a good thing. After that, drop it to 10-15 seconds.

Agreed. 30-60 seconds is the considerate thing to do. I've joined games of Karkand where the US has already captured the second CP before anyone from MEC has spawned in.

It really is an issue - an early advantage like that can totally unbalance a round from the get-go.

Our server has run a 30 secs start delay from day 1 to even the playing field. I know people with older PC's appreciate it.

However an older PC really only needs to get 1.5gig to 2gig of RAM and the loading times are heaps faster.

Unfortunately that is not possible to have round 1 (obviously when the map loads) have a 30-45s delay and round 2 on 10-15secs. Its one or the other. We find 30secs is pretty good balance, its not too long for round 2, gives everyone a chance to say gg and maybe duck off quickly before the round starts to get a drink or something.

30 seconds for later round too, it has a 15 second delay, but before showing all the round stats, my computer freezes for around 30 seconds

It's pathetic. In maps like Mashtuur City (where there is 1 flag at the beginning) some guys can neutralize it, win the game and win the gold medal with 2/4 points

you know...I'm more of a ground pounder anyway so I could care less about vehicles. I do understand what you guys mean though. I would be ticked as well. I'm just one of the lucky ones that load in quickly. Maybe its all the ram and great net connection I have.
