Insurgens on Warlond have T90 tanks and AK 101.. Like Russians would give them their modern tanks and their brand new assault rifle

Oh, didn't realize one of the SF maps was Spetznaz vs. insurgents (I don't run SF).

OK, so the rebels either captured/stole the equipment or used their backer's money to bribe Russian soldiers to "lose" it. (And in "Warlord" the insurgents aren't fighting the Russians so my original response could still fit that map.)

Interesting you mention that since there are specific events that happened no less than 10 years ago when they were in bad ties with chechnya. Russia sent a bunch of young 18 year old soliders positioned next to the border of chechnya to go in and attack with no plan. They knew there were going to die, they used it as a diversion to write off equipment and sell it in the black market. And thats just one example of russian weapons being sold in the black market.
