Another example: If i am able to shoot out a teammate out of a jet. Ill do it. The game allows that kind of behaviour, so its valid.
I'm giving you one chance to except reason and logic since you're not being a bitvomit (idiot) about this. Otherwise, I'm throwing you on my list of worthless people who need to be flamed out of every gaming community possible.

The game "allows" that because of friendly fire (which is an unintentional tk). This forces players to be careful and not shoot everything that comes at them with weapons. That doesn't mean the game condones forcing your teammates to die so YOU can be the one to get the jet points. If the ulimate goal of battlefield was to gain points (as those who tk for vehicles claim to "think"), no one would win/lose in the end. Points are supposed to measure your contribution to the team. By killing someone who might better (or worse) than you to get a jet you aren't helping your team, just finding a way to take credit for the same help...but with a tk.

I did it by accident one day and got 4 kills real fast. So if the other team seems to be pretty bunched up Ill hop in a jeep and drive through the middle.

As far as the Kamakazi thing, in chess its called a sacrifice. If you assign a number of possible tickets (number of kills the vehicle operator might get) to the vehicles in this game you can see that even then the only one that makes sense is a jihad jeep, against anything. Thats when you are ahead or getting owened by that vehicle, any other time its just silly and shows a lack of skills. . . . .Red
No, your running people over tactic is perfectly normal, and requires quite a bit of skill to pull off with out ramming into a wall. I have personally used this tactic when I was bored and it works out amazing! (it is also very fun to chase people down in a jeep  ) I found that it also works in other games (Halo 2, I kicked ass useing that with a ghost online ).

Agreed. I really hate those people that do this, heck, the other day someone tried to do this to me when I was in the crappy chinese transport chopper! I got in and waited as I saw him come up to me, but instead of jumping in, aimed their rifle and fired at me. So, I then proceeded to attempt to crush them, and sadly I missed. Got out, and they jumped in. I jumped into a FAV nearby and proceeded to open fire on them (didn't care about teamwork at this point, they started it, and TK'ing for a vehicle is one of my pet peeves) As I did this, everyone started shooting at me thinking I am am just TK'ing everyone, even though I knew I wouldn't kill this guy as I was firing on him while the chopper was still on the helipad, thus it is repairing. I more of just wanted to tell them to F off. If you think I am a horrible person, then just know I went on to become commander that round and won the round.

its a "tactic" that i've seen it once used to win the round. our team had held wake island enough to make the other team loose major amount of tickets, but eventually they capted all the flags. tickets were (PLA)95-(USMC)9. two guys were left, chopper pilot, and a J-10 pilot. they managed to get the other team's tickets to 4, when the choopper crashed due to lag..our team was like all *sigh...
anyways, our pilot ran out of amo after mowing 3 people on the ground(ground AA .. lol) out of amo,(told us by mic, our squad) we told him to do it. lukyly there was a full cobra turning, he saw it and BOOM kamakazied our way into victory. kamakzi should be understood as a tactic, as long as its used as a last resort

The Japanese used it to try and delay a supposed Allied invasion of Japan, Moslem Insurgents and Rebels use it to try and delay Elections in Iraq, and disrupt the Government in Afghanistan, and now players try to use it to delay any armored support the enemy can muster.

Yes, it's a viable tactic. If it's been used Historically, how can we say it isn't a viable tactic? It's had mixed success historically, and now has mixed success in BF2.

Today I ran into a chopper wreck after I blew it up and died. I shot at it with about 4 missiles and 2 or more hit and it blew up then at the second I crashed into its flaming pieces.

I just love how everyone started ranting before the original poster defined what he meant by "legit". Most arguments end up like this - everyone yapping away with no common understanding of what it is they're actually arguing about.

I guess the people who really hate this tactic are the chopper whores who ONLY play in the BH………

“All is fair in love and war”

It is part of the game, not a glitch either. A good BH pilot can try to evade the ramming heli, but is it is loaded with C4 and the ramming pilot can jump out, and detonate without getting killed…. That takes some good skill in my book!

Quit crying and take a jeep / RIB / APC then!

In Joint Ops on certain maps its the only way to score. Jeep roadkills in JO can be huge you can often run down 20-30 people a level as the levels are open and there is no where for them to hide. It more difficult in BF2. But karkand can be fun.

My record is running over two squads of 7 people in total in about 4 seconds while beeping my horn and then I even reversed back to make sure I had them all. Seven of them almost all bunched in a line. I then drove round the corner and was promplty shot by a tank and then screamed at by some very irate players for 10 mins who were convinced I had a hack to do that {twas pure luck I have only done that once in 300+ hours}. But Karkand IS roadkill mad, the second flag is best.

Just drive into the second flag fast, you often get at least 1 roadkill, then if they are camping the flag, either man the 50 cal or if you had C4, jump out the jeep over the ledge then pull the trigger.

If your spec ops put to C4 on the front only, to be honest if you put it on the wheels you get both side which seems better to snazz infantry, 2 packs WILL blow a tank or apc, then if you don't find an armour victim on route, drive into their base right up to a commander toy jump out retreat and blow the jeep, that way you can then get another commander toy and the jeep respawns so more of your team mates can the join you.

Re: is Kamakazi a legit battle tactic???

Whilst this is not specially stated in our rules it does come under the rule, "Play fair" and disruptive gameplay. An admin will decide whether or not it applies in each case. EG accidents can happen. A plane is shooting a target and pulls up too late. That's an accident and the polite people will respond with a sorry, unintentional or an accident. If a person repeatedly rams in a plane then we feel that is unfair or disruptive gameplay and will warn them. If they continue they will get kicked.

Jihad jeeps ect are the same. If you want to have a Jihad jeep the skillfull players will jump just before it hits and not kill themselves. If it doesn't hit they jump and detonate it. That's skill. It takes no skill to repeatedly ram someone and is frowned upon on our server.

If these tactics annoy people on our server then its classed as disruptive gameplay.

but thats just it isnt it the trick is to escape the blast radius before detonating the c4. however if death by tank becomes likely, im gonna detonate, take out that tank and save my teamates regardless how close i am. hopefully one might even be a medic who could come revive me and a support guy give me some more bombs. teamplay ftw!

its a learning curve. of course kamikaze is a valid tactic

I hate the C4 jihadist as much as the next person, but there are times when I think it is a legitimate tactic...and that is when a piece of armor is camping a spawn point. If I am owning the battlefield with a piece of armor I even expect it and it has happened on numerous occaisions. What I dislike is the players that use it as their primary weapon and tactic - all the time. Those players should be kicked from the server, no questions asked.

driving up and down the the ally at Karkland in armour shooting ppl as they spawn, 40+ frags, dont kill me with your cheap "jihad" jeep tactics, boohoohoo.

pilot 40+ kills, no way off taking them out ,there to good to shoot with misslile(a real game glitch). The best pilots arnt even playing bf2 but packman. Get bombs strafe airfield take out air assets before they can take off, repeat. one death in the round when someone manages to ram them, boohoohoo, dont kill me with your cheap tactics. :O)

hippocrites. Yes its a real tactic .
