Lame?? You lose score??? How many times have I done it? A few often against spwan camping tanks or APC's on Karkand as an MEC spec OP's. Running round lobbing C4 and blowing yourself up all the time is Lame but sometimes doing a kamikazi Helipcopter crash, C4 charge. Is a LEGIT tatic and help your squad or team win a game.

Spec OP's kamizazi's can often make armour run off. In moderation and as a last resort then I think its fine and will congratulate people for C4'ing me if I'm sitting trying to take a falg in an APC blasting the crap out of them. For FFS what they supposed to do sit and get shot????

Noob tubers and C4 people who seem to kill themselves and their team mates all the time as well as kill the enemy and are LAME. Using a jeep or hummer packed with C4 is fine. God lordy thats used in real life!!!!

And If you up against a Tank and you have C4 you can only kill him if he misses or doesn't spot you. And this stops people totally whoring in armour.

If you get C4 on a tank and APC whoring a flag sometimes its to risky to run away to a safe distant and detonate, sometimes you have to take your self out as well to get rid of the armour.

And when people do that to me I'm impressed they will take the HIT for the team!!!

I like to use jihad chopper on Mashtuur with the Mi-17 (yes, it has a name). Yeah, it ****es off people, the same people who are getting 10-kill streaks with the miniguns, and probably the same people who only play USMC on Mashtuur. It's funny when they try and act like the victims.

Jihad plane is a lot more frustrating though. The Mi-17 and especially the Z-8 are slow as molasses (sp?), but the planes sure as hell aren't. Then again, tanks fear chopper kamis more than plane kamis for just that reason.

I'm not the biggest fan of it in pubs, but I wouldn't go so far as to question its legitimacy. Like the poster above, the MI17 makes a great anti-BH weapon on Mashtur City.

In matches its a standard tactic. Some do it more than others. We scrimmed Team[HOT] on Oman 16 once, the entire 1st mapside was basically both sides camping and protecting their side of the map (2 flags each), with jihad jeeps being sent out to take out our tank...they got up by 3-5 tickets, and let the time run down, forcing us to run at them.... We've since used the jihad jeep vs. armor on many occasions...

The only time I have ever condoned Kamikaze tactics was using the Mi-17 loaded with C4 to take out the Blackhawk back in version 1.0...

It was the only way to keep Mashtuur City balanced at the time.

Generally I find it a pretty annoying tactic. There are the occasions where you put c4 on a tank and there's no place to hide so you have to take yourself out too. The only time I've used it is on Dragon Valley and FuShe Pass, when I was trying to get my silver c4 badge. Load up your dpv with c4 and just roam around the map looking for armor. People were getting pretty ****ed at me too, and I don't blame them. The crappy part is that I would always wind up 1 or 2 short of the 23 kills needed. I still don't have it, and I don't know if I want it anymore. If you run kamikaze for 3-4 rounds in a row it's hard to get back in the normal flow of the game. I usually have to stop for awhile and go back later.

The only time I don't frown on it is when some brave soul speeds ahead of an Infantry rush and takes out the APC/Tank at the spawn. So the other 6 guys can cap that point.

Speeding around and detonateing with no clear purpose just costs tickets.

Airplane kamikazi, that's a waste of a valuable asset. Makes me laugh when I accidentally ram some heli carcass, and they call me a noob, in their mind they think I rammed them on purpose. Silly people.

C4 or landmine kamikazi against a tank that is whoring a flag.. pfft, nothing to discuss here, completely valid and well worth taking one for the team.

Jihad buggy, throwing c4 packs on the front of your jeep and driving around like a maniac, it has it's uses, but usually is completely un-necessary. Tow missiles, guided Eryx missiles, really eliminate the need for this. It's a griefer's tactic, but sometimes it is the only way to clear out an entrenched tank.

The heli on Mashtuur kamikazi, this amuses me, I prefer to use the 50 cals on every jeep and vodnik to quickly eliminate the BH, but I don't diss the guy willing to try and chase down the BH in the flying bathtub. :) - a good BH crew and pilot won't get taken out by that heli. When I fly the BH, we shoot them down, so it easily countered.

So which tactic are you asking about?

Its all legit, if you blow yourself up with c4 its ok, but if you take planes only to crash into someting/someone well its very lame, so if i crash into a chopper by accident I ALWAYS apoligise...

If im in a plane and i go to the airstrip and repair or get ammo, and i see a chopper base camping and strafe him but cant kill him ill ram him, i don't care if it's a noob thing.
