Re: is Kamakazi a legit battle tactic???

If it is really so easy to shoot one down then WHY THE **** WOULD PEOPLE DO IT? Someone who's truly being an illegit player simply wants points. Then why would they get the -2 for a suicide?

People do things which are considered cheap because they think the outcome will be better for them than if they didn't do it, but if it is so easy to shoot down a black hawk, what's the point of getting a death? Yeah, we know those cheap point whoring scumbags want to stack their death count right?

Let's get a straight answer for this here and now.

The kamikaze of a helo into anything is not against TWL rules, but I agree it's very frustrating.
BTW, I'm not defending it, I dont use that tactic. But I've asked about it in the TWL forums.

hmmm, I think someone is taking way too much offence to this.

It's going to happen no matter what. A lot of times it is by mistake. I have seen people do the old "drive jet up, jump out and let it crash into the heli thing". Yes, it does suck when you get hit by one, but thats the way the game is. Just think, that person in the jet could have stopped a huge assualt that would have capped about 2 or even more flags. I know many times that if someone had done that, the other side would have won.

As for jeeps, it's funny to try to get away from those damn things  . It's really fun though to blow up the jeep before it hits yeah. But, the jeeps aren't useally on base campers (well from my experiance anyways). I useally just see people going to enemy bases loaded with C4 so that they can just run it into a bunch of people or tank/apc. I have done the suicide jeep a couple of times, but it's not a tactic i like to use myself. I'm not agianst it though.

Oh yeah, I have never personally used the suicide jet on purpose before.

Well you know since I live way out here in left field, I like to drive a jeep, vodnik, whatever into groups of enemy soldiers (when they are dumb enough to be in a group). I guess the reason that they try so hard to run away or fight is that they think im in the jihad jeep. I just like to run them over. Maybe some kinda noob thing but its fun. I did it by accident one day and got 4 kills real fast. So if the other team seems to be pretty bunched up Ill hop in a jeep and drive through the middle.

As far as the Kamakazi thing, in chess its called a sacrifice. If you assign a number of possible tickets (number of kills the vehicle operator might get) to the vehicles in this game you can see that even then the only one that makes sense is a jihad jeep, against anything. Thats when you are ahead or getting owened by that vehicle, any other time its just silly and shows a lack of skills. . . . .Red

lame? nooby? i don't see why?

i see it as a perfectily viable and efficient (in some cases) although those cases are rare (2-4 kills)

otherwise its not really worth it ;p

I usually strap 2 C4 charges to the front of my jeep/buggy, just in case I run into armor. On the ground I don't usually even try to run away after placing charges on a tank. I have been killed a million times before I could detonate it, so I figure at least I will take em with me.

I just had someone question its legitimacy in game after I rammed his tank with a buggy packed with C4. What was I supposed to do? I was trapped behind a building with a buggy parked next to it, and he was trying to cap my flag. I will take one for the team any day.

It's funny when they try and act like the victims.

Jihad plane is a lot more frustrating though. The Mi-17 and especially the Z-8 are slow as molasses (sp?), but the planes sure as hell aren't. Then again, tanks fear chopper kamis more than plane kamis for just that reason.

MEC chopper loaded with C4 ramming into the Blackhawk is OK imo! Simply because the MEC choper is very poor and the blackhawk is having it too easy on that map.

I pretty much only play on servers that ban for jet and chopper kamikaze.
It's just plain lame and a waste of team assets.

C4-packed cars I don't mind, because there are more other cars around for your team to use.

The mec chopper most of the time is idle in the base, and it will respawn in a matter of seconds. If you get rid of the raping BH, you have served your team well.

You serve your team equally well if you just triangulate the Blackhawk with Vodniks and use the Mi-17 to quickly recapture in the enemy's back.

Re: is Kamakazi a legit battle tactic???

I have never rammed intentionally, but sometimes the accident happen, a chopper takes off from the enemy base/carrier like a homing missile just wanting to get its hull pierced by my nose. Only to have the pilot typing: "OMFG J00 CH34T1NG RAMM0R, 1'M G0N4 T3LL T3H 4DM1N!!1!1!!1!"

I just cant describe how much I hate that, especially when you're raping the carrier in the J-10 not having one death, shooting down multiple blackhawk's, F35-B's and cobras. then two blackhawks goes up, you fly too low, and one blackhawk decides to land on your face whilst beeing full..

                          -=-=-=-=-=-=-

Now, I dont really have anything agains the accidential ramming, or the ocasional "defence of mainbase"-ramming.

But what really ****es me off is when a attack chopper pilot decides to try ramming something with a unknowing gunner sitting going "wtf?", even if that gunner is not me, I still find this disgusting.

This game would have been so much more fun without the ranking system/techniques people use to gain points faster..

Don't you love ramming a fully loaded BH with the MEC bathtub?
If you have good timing you can even escape, and parachute to safety :)
I'll do this sometimes if the bathtub is not used by anyone (which it sad fact most of the time) and we are getting raped by the BH-Minigun.
I lmao every time I can do this successfully. Mashtuur City is a great map for this "cheap" tactic

In my opinion, Kamikaze is totally legit as long as it causes opponents to lose more tickets than your team.

BTW I totally suck with airplanes, I can shoot choppers down with MG and that kind of stuff, but I'm not that "good" so sometimes it is more useful for my team that I kamikaze a full blackhawk down.
Nothing personal, the thing that annoyes most of you, is that dying like that is a total suprise. :)

My Opinion: The gamestructure allows that tactic, so its valid.

Another example: If i am able to shoot out a teammate out of a jet. Ill do it. The game allows that kind of behaviour, so its valid.
