Alaska- obvious target, pipelines or airforce base, maybe..

Northen California- giant REDWOODS! Mountains, forrest warfare..

San Francisco- Oh wait China has already taken it. Up hill urban fight from the ocean.

Rio Grande- Mec forces coming out of Mexico attacking oil operations on the gulf.

Vegas- with the US holding China in Cali, the MEC comes up from the south. Defend LUXOR!

Hawaii- Pearl harbor 2, will china awake the dragon again?

Beverly Hills- China is pushing toward LA from the north the US is dug in at Heffs house.

L.A.-China has effectivly pinched from SF and from Alaska to the urban showdown in LA,......

I know its hypothetical, but
China and the U.S would never have an open military conflict. The losing side would most likely go for their nukes and then everybody loses.
The modern battlefield exists in one's conscience.

It's too late for that in the hypothetical BF2 world.

Another cool area would be an ultra-war torn New York. You know, after the enemy bombed the crap out of it trying to get the American forces who were dug into the city or something. All the civillians have fled or been killed in the cross-fires and bombings, so it's just a big empty war ground.

The Bush ranch or white house would, again, be awesome. Especially if you could go inside and there'd be important flags there.

If the MEC was involved I'd think they would be attacking the American east coast while the Chinese went for the West.

Oh, and maybe replace the USMC with the US National Guard or something (since the marines are usually an offensive forces). They'd sound the same but maybe look slightly differe.

I think it would be cool to have one city block in NYC. with tall buildings and alleys and a bunch of different flooers peps climing up fire escapse using elivators and sewers and stuff. make some civilians running around. i always thought that they should have made non killable civilians running around or hiding in rooms and stuff.

but i guess that is a different thread.

Defenantly NYC and LA and SF

for SF you could have one map be the golden gate bridge (like one guy said earlier) but thats the only thing connecting the two sides, otherwise you have to take a plane or a boat across. It wold be like the bridge crossing map is Americas army! And just urban maps would be cool too.....

I think small maps in US cities would be nice. I think Wall Street would be a hell of a lot of fun.

What about a logging facility in Colorado? With a saw mill or something.

One of those gaint Florida amusement parks would be cool too...but probably going too far because 1) What kind of army wants to control Disney World 2) It would be incredibly hard to model (I'd bet). So just consider this paragraph dreaming outloud.

Fighting at the white house would be great too. With a tank or two (for each side) in the front yard. Then the indoor areas would be all infantry fighting.

Los Angeles - A huge burned out city with sky scrapers cut in 2, You could fight in Downtown L.A. in all the big office buildings,courthouses and prisions and the wide streets.

New York - A harbor where chinise forces have to come in on boats from the carrier and try to take it well USMC defends, you could fight on the harbor and inside a big tanker docked there.

Alaska - Fight in a blizzard, protect oil pipelines,under ground tunnels made in the snow, trenches.

U.S. Airfoce Base - Defend A U.S. Airforce Base thats being attacked by the chinise forces would sorta be like the map from BFV. A good Air Combat map for all the pilots.

Florida - Fight in swamps, forest type enviorment, lots of trees and hard to see the enemy.

Hong Kong - Defend Hong Kong from the chinise,could be a night map with all the bright lights of the city and stuff.

San Fransico - A fight to take the golden gate bridge, the bridge would be long and huge with something like 6 flag points on it to capture.

N.O.R.A.D - Enemy Forces try to take over our key millitary installation deep within the mountains and you have to go in as the Seals or DF to take em out, would be a pure infantry combat map.

Washington D.C. - The White House is being attacked, and you have to protect the presidents room from being capped, until a chopper comes down and can take the president to safety would sorta be like a VIP map.

Rocky Mountains - Rough Terrain, cliffs, peaks, hills , could fall to your death, caves to take cover from heli's and arty.

Pacific Ocean - A huge naval battle with carries and destroyers, bombers and planes.

1. The US, whether people like to admit it or not, is not a throw-you-jail-if-you-disagree-with-us-or-do-something-that-remotley-relates-to-disagreeing-with-us country. Or if it is, the government is doing such a horrible job at tracking people down that it doesn't matter.

2. If China and the US WERE the same country, China hasn't banned vanilla BF2, so we wouldn't need to worry about the US.
