ProEnd.exe -- End up to 20 processes with a click!

Hello,

I play bf2 on a laptop so I need all the power I need to play without lag...

So rather then clicking Ctrl+Alt+Delete everytime and ending them one by one I created a little program so that you have to only write the process names once in a list then everytime you want to end them; click on "End Preset Processes"

I thought some other people here could use the program so I made it prettier and am posting...

There's nothing in the program extra other then saving the list and then ending the process...

The usage is pretty simple I think.

If you get an error when you click "End Processes" then just click it again and it should work. If not, restart the program.

Simply click on ProEnd.exe and it'll run.
No installation of any sort required--

Add to the list processes only under your Username when you click on Ctrl+Alt+Delete and click the processes tab.
System and network processes are needed so I wouldn't suggest you end them. Of course, if there is a process in the System catagory named "iPodService.exe" then you can also add it to the list--
Do not end these proceses under your Username either:
taskmgr.exe
explorer.exe

Post if there's a problem--bug, question or similiar and I'll fix.

I don't have any processes that startup which I don't want to have in there while playing BF, except for one or two maybe.
But I think this little prog is what many people were looking for.

That would be pretty cool, I'll have to try it out. I always Ctrl+Alt+Delete and end any internet, spyware, antivirus (don't turn off firewall), along with other useless processes, even if they are taking up no resources.

I checked the site and I guess it's something similiar to that...? But on its site is also says

"Unfortunately the very useful formerly-freeware utility EndItAll2 which I have praised and recommended for years is no longer available free of charge to end users."

One question, does it close the whole process tree, or just the specific process? For example, if you're running Azureus, since it's a Java program, there's also a javasc.exe(I think that's it) that's running too. Or something like AVG control center has a few processes associated with it.

--It doesn't end process trees, only single processes.
So, if you want to end AVG Control Center you'll have to write all of the processes accociated with it. Which is a rather long process but once you find them, you'll never have to do it again!

Don't bother with this useless program. Just a waste of time and an inconvenience everytime you play BF2. Do things the smart way and clean up all of your uneeded services in services.msc and get rid of any lingering startup programs with msconfig. I would suggest going to blackviper.com and reading his excellent tutorial on this but it appears to be down. This is the first thing I do everytime I install a copy of XP and I always end up with only 80-100MB of used memory on boot.

Or better yet, create a profile specially made for gaming so that you can boot into it with the minimal amount of programs and clutter open.

Kind of like 99.999999% of your post.

Maybe some of those processes are useful outside of BF2, some people do use their computers for other things ocassionally you know. As far as setting up another profile, switching to it would be about as much of a pain as running a kill process program, be it this one or another, and if you do nothing else with your computer, than it really doesn't matter anyway.

Smartclose is the bestest in my opinion.

I use this, not had 1 problem with it, helps alot. Just gives you a choice of which programs you'd like to keep running and which you don't, saves it and then you play..........followed by when your done you just 'restore' from where you left off:
