Hey I was vehemently opposed to these servers but the other day I thought what the heck I will have a go and I have to say it was a great deal of fun

Sure knife only servers are fun, but there's a reason why they are not permitted as ranked servers: It's much easier to get your knife badge when you don't have to worry about your enemy pulling a piece on you. The knife badges are supposed to represent proficiency with a knife in normal combat conditions. Knife-only servers are not normal combat conditions, and therefore awarding the knife badge to people in such servers is contrary to the original intention of the award. It's simple. There's nothing wrong with playing knife-only on a private server because you don't get a badge for it, and there's nothing stopping you from running around on a knife rampage in ranked servers. You'll just have to actually use some skill.

If the server advertises as pistol knife only, and the admins enforce this policy - then each player on that server should be wiped clean, and the server shutdown.

Now if all the players on any given server decide to start going after each other with knives only - then so be it. I would love to see it - then I would take total advantage and tank them or use my pistol in a knife fight....well after I got some pistol kills for stats of course.

As long as the server or the admins of the server are not enforcing this - then it is perfectly legal for this to go on.

yes that is our server i can see it in the corner of the score box, but i would also like to state that there are NO |TSH| members on the server at this time and i would assume its early in the morning if there are so few people online, also our server is NOT a knife only server or anything gay like that. our server is just a regular 24/7 Karkand server. if you see people doing this on our server please post on our forums to let us know so that they may be dealt with. www.tsh-clan.com
