it would mak it abit more realistic as pilots are not well armed and the aircraft is their wepon.

i think there should be some way of getting a "permit" type of thing, for certain vehicles.

like an offline course, and if you pass, then you get to drive/pilot that vehicle.

That would be a god idea, but for people like me, who know how to use all vehicles at least SUFFICIENTLY well, it would be easy. Kinda like America's Army, for the marksmanship test, i got 39 outta 40 on my FIRST TRY, and i easily got my expert marksman award. Itwouldn't bother diehard pilots. BUt the good thing is there's never a noob using one of the most powerful vehicles in game. And if u don't pass the test, they'll give u a lesson, that owuld be good.

then there would be 8 classes, and what would the unlock be? if this was actually a good idea, i am sure DICE would have implemented this in 1942 or BFV.

A new universal HUD for all planes, and as a SF pilot class unlock, a new universal HUD for the attack helis. That owuld be funny then u would know the units of measure and all.

Well, having a pilot class would most definetely crush the tradition of the Battlefield series... it makes sense though because you don't just look at random people hop in a jet and go dogfighting everyday ..But I still disagree with the idea of having one.

You do still have the option of playing on maps that don't have aircraft or you can just become a good pilot you're self.

When hit by the finger-gun soldiers are changed instantly into Kelly McGillis.

Bf series game's really arent meant for this,Unless you play in a tournament like 20 vs 20,Then it could work.

This would be best suited for games like operation flash point.

The unlocks could be more capable aircraft, like an advanced F15 or advanced F16 or even the raptor, I also agree on qualifying on certian aircraft, like the rapter, pay off one deadly accurate killer.

I don't think anyone wants advanced molester planes right now. The jets are overpowered as is.

hmm, too who ever said this idea was shot down for stupidity in DC. I seem to remember a map called DC-No Fly Zone, which was purely air to air combat. It was a huge map of mountainous terrain with a river running through the middle and huge airfields on each side with lots of bombers, fighters, and a few choppers. oh and SAMs and other AA. No Fly Zone was so rad.
