Re: Maybe this will end all the threads about SF performance
eh, some people think that forums are basically tech support bots. Our purpose is to fufill the needs of others, and if we don't respond fast enough or give the answer they want, or peform voodoo hexes that fix their computers, they get all ****y.
I think it's that same old problem with people on the outside of something having a hard time figuring out how whats on the inside ticks. I still find myself saying to my roomate "but... but you're a computer guy!" whenever I ask him a question I figure would be cake for him. I'm only half joking when I say it unfortunately... It just pops out of my mouth like a idiotic Jack-in-the-box.
Still... I'm flying north for the holidays and see my parents about 3 or 4 times a year and guess what? They've got tons of plans for me to fix their home theater system, get their computer out of SlugLand, install their new DSL, etc etc.
I dunno. Even though I have problems with BF2 and SF myself, I don't get frustrated anymore. I just try to figure it out and learn. If that's too much for someone, it's probably better for them to go buy an XboX 360. My roomate thinks it looks as good as a pc game, but I downloaded some hi res videos from Microsoft and COD2 looks worse than the demo that I played at 3/4 high settings.
Oh wait. Even the XboX has problems. Nevermind =P
