Anyone else feel SF guns own regular guns?

i am so sick of trying to practice for a match with the regular vanilla bf2 guns (m16, ak101, etc) only to get my ass handed to me by a SCAR-L or g36K or C or E or f2000. and this is on the normal maps. instead i myself have to use the unlocks for SF to level out the playing field because they're vastly more powerful than the regular guns, and way more accurate. in the mean time i'm getting too used to the new guns, and rusty on the old ones

anyone else think that they should limit the SF guns to SF maps, and leave the regular bf2 guns and regular bf2 unlocks to the regular BF2 maps? because seriously, how many times have you been SCAR-L'ed 2 shots when you've put 5-6 into him with an m16 before they even looked your direction?

I think the abilities of the specific player far outweigh any imbalance between the SF weapons and those available to vanilla users.

I dont know weather or not they are more powerful....actually I believe someone opened up the config files for all the weapons, and the weapons are only moderatly more powerful...or in some cases weaker....although I have noticed that the SF weapons appear to be more accurate....or at least the Medic unlock is pretty acurate, even on 3 round burst I've been able to hit people fairly accuratly from just inside my draw distance.

Yeah, I don't actually think that the SF guns are more powerful or accurate per say... They're just alternative and not neccesarily better.

Nope, the vanilla BF2 unlocks were alternative, SF unlocks are BETTER. Ever compared the G36E to M16?

Im not to bothered with SF guns.... But I do agree with you that EA should not have allowed them on BF2 servers...

Instead they should have made the SF servers being able to play SF and BF2 maps at the same time.

wow lol i have been owned by the g36c and all the normal bf2 guns when i was usin my scar=l or the mg 43 but it all comes down to the player if u cant hack it dude............then dont play and stop having such a winge.

I agree. It took me a long time to get used to the ol' trusty AK, but these days it has become my favorite. The other little spec ops guns and even the SCAR and G36 series feel like BB-guns compared to my trusty AK. I think the high barrel rise when firing multiple shots takes some getting used to. Now that I have become one with my AK I have used this apparent shortcoming to my advantage: usually if a bunny-hoppin, noob-tube launchin opponent catches me off guard or vice-versa, the first thing he'll do is start his gay little bunny hop dance, wheras I usually make a dive for the ground, at the same time firing my first round into the 'wabbits mid section. Usually he'll be still rising in mid-jump, so the natural rise of the AK follows him and places a second and sometimes third deadly round right between the hoppin varmits eyes. Great fun taking out those annoying 'hoppers with my good 'ol AK-47/74/101!

i agree i just tryed out the AK-101 and it owned, as assult it is as powerfull as the g3 plus a noob tube

I started playing with the SCAR-L and F2000 last night. And they are MUCH better.

.con files can eat me, these guns ROCK.

To the point its almost a ripoff.

I noticed im getting killed almost exclusively bf SF guns now, and that people with standard guns hardly ever get me.

I was shooting with the SCAR an the F2000 last night on Wake and noticed that many times i should have missed the shot, i magically nailed the guy and he fell over dead. This happened 5-6 times in the round. I know i would have missed with the standard gun but the SF gun nails the bastard, and kills him quickly.

I'm sick of people whining about the new guns being a unfair advantage.

There not ok, there exactly the same just different. For instance yeah i like the f2000 but generally speaking close up i'd rather go for the MEC AK47.

I HATE those SF guns, all of the sudden u just die like in 0,01 sec and then it says that u have just been shot by an F2000000 or some other SF ****

Yeah, I totally agree that the new weapons are way overpowered.
Sometimes there's a guy with his back turned on me, i prone, take three bursts at him, and he just turns around and kills me the first shot
Although you can pick the kits up without having SF installed, good luck trying to find them lying around.

It just makes BF2 really unfair, which is exactly what a multiplayer game shouldn't be.
I play medic, and get pwnd by lesser players with much better weapons all the time now.

And btw, I really don't care what the damage ratings in the .con file says, I don't recall any submachineguns in regular bf2 that can nail headshots from 300m away.
