LOL if BF1917 Comes out as the great war Imagine the Rants about how "Tanks" Are unstoppable...Knowing that tanks were new to the world at that time no effective Anti-tank weapons were around.
:laugh: Yes but those tanks were extremely unreliable and very slow, and you had artillery! So there is still a place for the commander.
You can have all the basic kits, ATs might have to use thrown dynamite of something silly but it would be highly amusing running round all those trenches. :p
EA and Dice have a franchise now, and you don't think hey are going to milk it for all its worth? Look at how fast they managed to crack out SF. I will be expecting another BF game in the future.
Hmm id actually like to see a BF3 but as a continuation of the BF2 theme. The us Air force is supposedly working on mechs not giant robots but just an actually exoskeleton were it improves the soldiers strength. So you could have units running around with mini guns in there hands. Also other technologies in the pipeline there are new types of infantry being worked on basically what we have in game (the map and the commander giving you orders and you knowing were to go) but stick a camera on there weapons so instead of looking around corners you stick your weapon out to see whats going on. Also another interesting thing they could add is robots they could work it like galactic conquest you go up to a control station and then drive them around killing stuff (and i do believe these are being developed by the us & uk governments to clear out buildings and for recon). Also another thing that I've watched on documentaries is the development of giant airships (zeppelins) to use as massive fast transports instead of normal ships. The hole idea of future combat has barley been explored in BF2 the stuff being developed at this moment in time makes BF2 weapon systems look like WW2 equipment.
Based on the fact that on DICE's job page there first item on level designers for tools used is farcry. Now that doesnt mean that they are going to make a game on the farcry engine but it could mean they are making a primarily SP designed game working on maybe a new version of the Battlefield Engine. Im only speculating here but maybe we will see a game like Battlefield with vehicles and first person combat but single player orientated although Im almost certain it will include a multiplayer aspect.
This is true, but you still mention it so you will get a bigger audience and more people buying the game, and then when they get it they wonder where the heck is half the stuff promised in the game. Wa la, expansion pack. Kind of how bf2 was....only we still dont have hovercrafts...

But 'over are fun if you have tanks and pcs on them firing!!!! Make the ultimate mobile gun emplacements.
I doubt they'll go back in time, considering the game has moved up in time since it started. Me thinks either something involving terrorists or like the future with flying alien ****.
