Re: Bf3?
Well, lemme see...
Battlefield 1961 - The height of the Cold War. Could be like a Flashpoint type of scenario, except less biased in favor of the Americans.
Battlefield 1862 - The height of the Civil War. Of course, who wants to shoot a rifle and wait the thirty seconds it takes to reload. And who could forget some memorable submarine warfare ala CSS Hunley?
Battlefield: Cuba - San Juan Hill, Teddy Roosevelt, and the Spanish-American War! Remember the Maine!
Battlefield 1812 - Red coats in Washington D.C.! Failed attempts to invade Canada! Spectacular naval battles on the Great Lakes! Fight with Andrew Jackson in the Battle of New Orleans...two weeks after the war ends!
Battlefield: Mexico - The Mexican-American war. Choose your army: General Zachery Taylor in the north or General Willard Scott in the south! Remember the Alamo (by the way, if the Alamo had had a back door, Texas would still be part of Mexico)!
Battlefield 1917 - Ah, yes. The Great War. Costing Great Britain an entire generation of young men, destroying czarist Russia, and setting the foundation for a Second World War!
Battlefield: Korea - Why is it that no one does any games or mods based on the Korean War? All you'd have to do is make different maps (i.e. the Chosin Reservoir or the landing at Inchon).
...or how about retreading on some old favorites?
Battlefield 1942: The Aleutian Islands - Defend Alaska's island chain from Japanese invasion, or bring the Rising Sun to the far north! Fight with antiquated weapons from a neglected National Guard armory!
Battlefield 1918 - land in an expeditionary force composed of French, British, and American troops to half-heartedly support the faltering White Russian forces during the Russian Civil War!
Yeah, EA would be much better off if they gave me a job.
