SF unlocks for 1.12 players

Anyhoo, the general opinion of the community is that : You can ONLY have SF unlocks to use in 1.12 F2 if you have the SF expansion...

Right ??

Yep, I know =P

I played SF once (cybercafe) and I unlocked the G36E and the F2000 ... The other tier 2 unlocks are not that great...

Forgive my ignorance but does that mean that 1.12 players can unlock Special Forces wepons and use them, even if they haven't got Special Forces?

I know you can pick them up because I've been picking up SF wepons ingame although I don't have the expansion, I know I can do this.

By unlock do you mean non-SF players can spawn with these wepons if you "unlock" them.

I just make fun of people that wont pay 30USD for a game because it breakes some 'prescious principle':laugh: ...30$ is like my junkfood/snacks tab for a week?!

I am going to buy SF today, simply because... I don't want to be left behind, I've put off buying it for a few days whilst I sort out my BF2 because I only started playing 2 weeks ago maybe, only yesterday upgraded from release version to 1.12.

I'm used to things being patched for me, I play alot of MMORPGs or used to anyway.

I'm surpriced to see this still being a topic.

To set things straight.
- Those who don't have SF installed can not unlock SF weapons. Hence you can not spawn with those weapons.
- You can however pick up kits from the dead with unlocked SF weapon.

Those without SF can have friends with SF log in to their accounts and unlock SF weapons for them. BUT... what's the point? When you play on your comp you still don't have SF installed, now do you?

Unfair? Probably. That's life, and life's a bitch, then you marry, and then you get to die.. :laugh:

well.. it seems the other 3 posters in here Didnt know... and neither did I, untill it was pointed out to me earlier today...

so that 4 of 5 in here who didnt know.... which in my book is good enough reason to post the info..

EA appear to like dancing around certain topics before giving out information which is totally clear.

I mean for one they haven't told us which guns. :guns:

Oh well suppose it doesn't matter, I'm going to buy SF today, I didn't not want to purchase it, £20 isn't much tbh. I wanted to learn BF2 get my feet wet first.

Are the new maps with SF - SF only maps, or is there some new BF2 maps?
