Something needs to be made clear here:

This is not an attack on EA. This is an attack on the people that like to use those forums.
Myg0t doesn't stand for anything. They just like to annoy people. It's how they get their rocks off ('cause lookit 'em, they've GOT to be terminal virgins!).

There is no justification here. EA might deserve a bit of a wake up call, but this ain't gonna bug 'em one bit. It's the people that have been denied access to their forums that are the only "victems".

They tried the same crap here (for those who missed it), but thankfully the TBF mods are more on the ball.

Once again, there is no justification to these attacks. Even if you detest EA openly, supporting the actions of myg0t is like being a fan of flesh eating disease (both intelectually and asteticly comprable).

How is this not an attack on EA? Their main forums, for their number one game is down and non of their customers can use them.

Really, we should all know that they aren't going to be hurt by a spam attack on their forums.

The only people "hurt" are the ones that want to use those forums for legit reasons.

I am very disappointed in the community here. This is disgusting.

myg0t is a well-meaning company with PEOPLE interests. We constantly pool our resources to help out the global community (for example, we are currently helping in the search for AIDS as can be seen at: http://www.worldcommunitygrid.org/te...mId=CB2MW3MRP1 we are currently ranked 347 GLOBALLY as a team).

These vicious attacks are just hooligans out to slander our good name. Anyone who is anyone can see through this ploy.

I doubt it. Pimpyo got traced to his university and smartened up when DP made it apparent that he wouldn't hesitate to report his 'net abuse to his school.
I doubt anyone is stupid enough to risk their education over some petty forum spamming.

Thing is, I think it's funny.

I donno the details about what the exact offence was, but he'd gone troll-ish towards the end. Then he gat banned and tried to bypass it several times. Then he made some vauge threat and hung around on the forum until DP posted showed him that he knew exactly from where he was getting his net.

Pimpyo then fled very much like you would imagine he would based on his name. Every "pimp" I've met is a p:censored:y.

You know, with a sales pitch like that, you should apply for a job in EA's public relations department. You'd be a shoe in.

As far as this attack and it's patheticness, I find something extremely entertaining about this. As much as EA tells us they read their forums, how much they care about the community, how much they want to help us...I think this is a pretty good example of how often they pay attention to Battlefield 2 and it's community. According to this thread, it was first reported here around 10 hours ago, and was probably occuring longer than that. Now, given the quick response to other sites, that admin and keep up with the game in their free time...and then looking at EA, those who claim to help us, I get quite a bit of laughter out of how sad the response from EA as been. Not even an attempt to clear this up it seems, and definately no curbing this event. Way to go EA, you're showing your true self now in your response time to this disaster on your own forum.

And as far as the attack itself....nah, not worth typing anymore, so...it's just sad. :-P

You forget that the offical forums are corprat and thus involve paper work.
I'm not kidding. Once an admin notices something he doesn't like, he has to file a report about it!

But yeah, in a way it is sorta funny to see how badly they can handle the ball. Still doesn't make up for the fact that it's done at the expense of honest users.
