Hi guys
I've got a nice gaming rig:
2 x 7800GTX in SLI
nForce 4 mobo
Creative X-Fi
2GB DDR400 mem
Athlon 64 3800+
Win XP Pro (fresh formatted recently)
Yet most maps in the special forces pack still chug pretty bad, and not just the Iron Gator. It's not a memory leak, it's not any new bugs - it's quite simply the over the top detail found in the SF maps. Don't get me wrong, I love the way they look... but it's not worth the performance hit. And if I'm struggling with the fps, I bet a lot of you guys are doing even worse. The only thing that will fix this is if the devs remove some of the detail in the maps - I honestly don't think anything else will do it.
So if you're in agreement, and are fed up with SF's poor framerate, please sign this petition. I have to say that it's a shame such an obvious problem got past Dice Sweden - although I'm doubting they even got to test it that much if they didn't notice these issues.
