He speaks the truth. And the red dot owns. That's why the best gun in the game is the SCAR-H (the non-spec ops version, I think thats H?). And the AK74U and the M4 are great guns once you get adjusted to them. Red dot is the win. The AK74U is my personal fav.

Ya, red dot scopes and the F2000 scopes as wel as ironsights have pretty much the same zoom. It's just that it's easier to set up shots with the red dot since there's only a dot, and nothing more. Anyways, i agree, the SCAR-H is TOTAL PWNAGE. It's so good, the prob is that i don't play on many SF maps. Anyways, if somebody gets a direct hit on u with a GL, u never hear the sound, so it doesn't only apply to the F2000.

the mp7 rocks, if they put the mp7 on the assault kit i would only use that and deal out ownage all day.

Ya, the MP7 sounds more like a gun than an AK-47 does. THe only guns that sound 'manly' are the MP7, G3, PKM, M95, and the .50 cal mounted guns.

Except for the PKM and some of the other heavier guns, I can barely hear any gunfire in the first place (other people's guns firing, that is). Is this because I have sounds set to low, or are the guns in BF2 particularly quiet?

In BF2 guns are quiet, if nobody except 1 person was shooting in a whole server, if u were like just 20m away, u can't here thhem shooting.

I agree that it is probably hype. The reason people hate the M16 so much is that they don't like the 3 round burst and are too noob to hit anything with it or actually aim. So they noob tube and then that carries over to when they use the Aks. Personally, as an assualt player, I think all the assualt weapons are good for different situations and there are really no bad ones. Long range=M16, short range=ak47/ak101/G3, for power=G3 and for medium=F200.

And to get this straight, a noob tube is when the grenade launcher is used wrong and grenade launcher or M203/GP-40 etc. is when it is used correctly.

Another reason for the hype is that people feel safer with a bigger gun since they think it is probably stronger and better etc. like the rocket launcher, even though that is not the case.

I hate it when people SRAW you but i must admit it does require SOME skills. The RPG-7 in SF is my new soul mate though, way more powerful then guided rockets and nice aimer I heart RPG-7

I agree with you in theory but in practice it just isn't going to happen. Because both of the AT primary weapons are useless at range people are going to use the SRAW/ERYX. This could be countered (a little) by giving AT soldiers less rockets but make them do more damage, that way people would need to be selective about what they use their rockets on.

PS The SRAW isn't that good against people anyway, they have to be stationary to have much chance of hitting them and the rocket takes time to get to them. It's quicker and easier to use an accurate rifle.

THe SRAW is kinda effective against people, but if they're moving, don't expect a hit. ANyways, teh RPG-7 does the same damage to vehicles, but the good thing is, they have a crosshari when NOT zoomed, and they don't set off the warning lights on APCs and Tanks.
