Imo it's very overrated. I see a lot of people using it, both in SF and BF - but it's not any better than the other Assault rifles imo.

The reason for all its hype is its design and the fact that it's still a rather unknown rifle compared to many other weapons in the game. People see a high-tech, OICW-like, futuristic rifle - of course they're gonna use it!
It's a cool-looking gun, but not all that effective.

It's got full auto, good single shot accuracy, a bullet spread in auto that's a bit bigger than the AK maybe but it's got a scope and a GL. So I use it instead of the AK most of the time. The AK is definetly more unstable at single shot medium range than the F2000.

As an all round assault gun they dont come much better.
Only used it in SF though so far.
Its got stopping power for sure !
The sights are the best for me.
The inaccuracy at longer distance is its only downfall imo.

Well, the OICW has been cancelled (been split into two projects, XM8 and the XM25, the XM8 program is frozen ATM). Anyways, the F2000 is already the official rifle for Belgium already, replacing the older FNC.Anyways, ya, it was just a hype, the hype is already over, now this forum is spammed with noob questions (a lot of kiddies got BF2 for xmas) and controversy over the new AT and sniper unlocks.

Its a good gun, finishes off people very quick, Im not an assault player biut for noob tubers and assault players in general its an excellent gun, slightly better that the g36c. However at long distance you need some practice, the problem with the scope is if your sniping from a long distance, the scope is missing a crossraods in the middle and can prove to be more difficult than lets say you were using a G36e. Nice strong gun, a good kit combined with flashbangs and Gl treats.

Ya, i used to like it, until i tried long range with the thing. It's an okay assault weapon IMO, but i would gladly take an AK.

I had a great run with this gun on Warlord. Range, 200 to 300 meters. I dropped 7 insurgents all in the same area, the first one was moving and I fired off a burst aiming with the scope and downed him for good with a 2 shot burst. THen more guys kept showing up and I kept wasting them. THey were all looking in another direction. I was on the flank. When they finally honed in on me I took a couple more out with the launcher for a total of 9 dead before they got me. I don't think I've had that with any other gun ever.

I really like the F2000. It has a good scope, a GL, flashbangs, has sufficient stopping power, and is more balanced than the other guns. But i do think its a little overrated. The G3 and AKs are much more powerful than the F2000 at short range. The M16 is a very good all-around weapon. It has a 3 round burst, which is best for medium ranges. The F2000, though, is probably the best at long ranges, because of its scope.

THe scope doesn't zoom in any more than ironsights u know. UBAR states it, anyways, i've looked at the iNI files, the zoom is only 1.43 zoom, actuallly, that's just as much as the red dot, which is just as much as ironsights. If the thing had a red dot, i would use it a ton more.

He speaks the truth. And the red dot owns. That's why the best gun in the game is the SCAR-H (the non-spec ops version, I think thats H?). And the AK74U and the M4 are great guns once you get adjusted to them. Red dot is the win. The AK74U is my personal fav.

Personally I can't stand Grenade launchers of any kind so I would have to agree with it being overrated and definetly overused (if thats a word)

I like the FN2000 cos it gives you flashbangs in BF2. hehe

Well i prefer this gun too.

The G3 is good and powerful, but it feels too clunky and heavy. Plus, i like that firing sound that the F2000 makes. Sounds like you're shooting bolts at people.
