Mmmmm. All-nighter quite a few times. 17 hours on my friends account quite a few times. My tips: A sack of coffee beans. A hot plate. 3 gallons of water. Coffee percolater. Coffee cakes. And a playboy for loading times?

I've done several 6-8 hour sessions in DC and BF2.

      Munchies and pepsimax ftw. :p

          - Eat some sandwiches
          - Tea
          - Tea
          - Tea
(with or without sugar, as long as it's strong). It'll keep you going for a while. :)

Re: 'Marathon session' advice and tips

Firstly, I put my computer on a wine crate on my desk to get it more eye level.

Secondly, I keep a carton of Kools in easy reach. Some of my exercise is opening packs of cigarettes with my teeth, or shaking my hand when I burn my fingers 'cause it's burned down so low and I never noticed.

Thirdly, I have a dog that comes and puts his head in my lap, or licks my feet (I live in Florida and we don't wear shoes) which makes me JUMP outta my seat! (More exercise)

Fourthly, I drink double espressos. (More exercise, go make espresso..it actually has less caffeine than regular coffee.)

Fifthly, I have music on constantly...Stones, Zep, Hendrix, Pink Floyd, Zappa, the good stuff, not the new stuff.

Sixthly, and most importantly. I use a kitchen chair, and my 'puter table is a wooden kitchen table. They sit up higher. On my chair I've strapped a full back vibration massage heating pad...cushion with heated vibration. Keeps the blood circulating.

Seventhly, NutterButter Peanutbutter cookies, and/or, Chips Ahoy.

Get up and walk around after each map. Shake out your hands. Say something funny. Pet the dog and promise you're not REALLY neglecting him. Look out the window and wonder if the neighbors think you're wierd.

Then, get back into the fight!

When you are fatigued your performance drops and you're not doing anybody any good anyway, so get some sleep. Do some laundry. Watch a movie. Catch "The Daily Show". Reset the synapses. Let the muscles repair. Take a hot shower. Sleeeeeeeep.

When I go for walks (this dog is very demanding) I find myself looking over people's heads for blue letters. If I don't see any, I start looking for something to duck behind and feeling for my gun, which I don't have.

How do you keep from feeling guilty about doing nothing but play this game and post on these forums? If you don't feel guilty about virtually shooting people all day, how could you feel guilty about puny things like that?

And, above all, never tell a psychiatrist what you do. He'll only make you quit!

Nobody ever won a war by dying for his country. You win a war by making the other poor, dumb bastard die for HIS country. -G.S. Patton-

Another of his I like is: "Compared to war, all other forms of human endeavor shrink to insignificance."

What do so many people have against the new stuff, rap and rock alike. It's almost like they think its a sin to like something that is popular.
I personally like the "new" stuff and am proud of it.

I thought everyone there was wearing white sneakers? Or is it just the seniors?

I thought the only people in florida were the seniors? Am I correct? And astralman, thank you for the music, I forgot to add that, and dammit if you didn't take all my favorite bands. (Other than Rush, AC/DC, Stevie Ray Vaughan and Allman Brothers.)
