Re: 'Marathon session' advice and tips

And I thought I was bad because I played around 12 - 14 hours a week, mostly on my days off (I work 4 on 4 off). I have played 10 hours straight stopping only for potty break.
Im hopeing my wife doesnt catch on to this trick. I usually cook a day or two before my first day off and eat the left overs while playing (I always fix double the amount it takes for the 2 of us). oh, yeah caffine, caffine, cheese cake, caffine. . . . . .
Its starting to have an effect though, we had a fire on a machine at work (I work in a factory that makes rolled metal - electrician) and when I saw it I grabbed an extinguisher and went to help (I was thinking - need some help over here). When I got there, there was 4 people already using extinguishers (so I thought - need resupply) Then we repaired it (I was thinking about the wrench sound) while I kept looking for a supply crate. I might have lost my mind, you think? . . . . .Red

Nah, you can start freaking out when you caught yourself screaming out the different BF2 stuff...

This turned out to become a proper and informative thread. Since I've started the thread I have found that 5-6, even 10, hr sessions are quite simple. It's just about food, ergonomis seating position for me and a good server - then I'm all set:)

      Keep the tips coming!!

or maybe this gets the delete ...?
            oh well here goes anyway:

advice : find a meth dealer.
            smoke the meth
            play 18 hrs +

of course remember you cant play BF2 when you are in jail plus an added bonus usually would be ur barain gets fried and u lose your job if u have 1 or wont find a job if you dont have 1.

this based on my personal experience ...

When you're doing a marathon session ensure you take a 5 or 10 minute break every 2 or 3 hours or so to stretch your wrist. Or, do it evey 3 or 4 seriously wounded break. Stand up, stretch your wrist, walk a bit, sit back down. Swollen feet is nasty, so is RSI.

Ya'know...i have yet to have a marathon session of BF2...i think i will this friday...after my baseball game...take a shower....eat some food...then hit it up from around 9 or 10 PM to anywhere from 6-11am (depending on how long everyone sleeps in)

the only time i pulled a marathon while gaming was oddly enough when Super Smash Brothers Melee came out on the Gamecube....me and a friend played it all day (starting at 2pm) and then all night...and went to sleep at 8 the next morning

Exactly, I always get bored with one kit or vehicle and move on to something else.

I've pulled all-nighters' playing BF:2 and probably will very soon (Springbreak :-D) I've probably played around 8 or 9 hours in one sitting. But I can do that with any game. I could play longer but my mom thinks I love my video games more than her so sometimes she makes me stop for no reason.

Every Saturday and Sunday night I play for 5-8 hours. I work the graveyard shift, and if I don't stay up all night, it wrecks my sleeping schedule for the week and I am tired at work all the time. Watching movies and reading books make me sleep, but BF2 perks me right up. After 3 hours I am a deadly killing machine. This is usally when I get my medals/badges/ribbons.
