Re: 'Marathon session' advice and tips

I'm not exactly sure how long I've played BF2 in a straight run, but when I got HL2 I played that for about 30 minutes before I went to bed. Woke up in the morning, played it for about 13 hours with about 90 minutes worth of breaks to cook lunch, a couple chores around the house. Went to sleep. Woke up and played for about 1 more hour and passed the game. I could've passed it the day before but being it was the first time I played it, I was thinking it was going to go on for another few hours so I didn't want to over do it. lol

That is great medical advice. I recommend the same thing on long trans atlantic flights.

spin your feets in circles to get the calf muslces pumping the popliteals....your lungs will thank you when you don't die like an asian after your marathon session with a massive pulmonary embolism.

                31 hours straight!

mainly through energy bars, coke and coffee.

I didn't even see the night, i looked out from my comp after playing clan match and it was light, only when i looked at the watch and saw it was 7 in the morning. Luckily my parents were on holiday and everyone thought i went to bed and woke up early....

                  i semi-regularly have all-nights what u need is caffine...and most importantly FOOD.

food helps a LOT in staying awake!

In a tournament I have once played an entire battle of 12 hours, with Battlefield 1942 that was though. 10 hours on a row then a 15 minutes break and then the rest of the battle.

Marathon Session tips: Drink water, eat some fruit/energy bars (Clif Bars), and take breaks every other map. Getting up and walking around a little helps make you stay comforatable.

I don't use caffine for marathons, I find it doesn't do much for me. If you really want a super long marathon eat some sorta pasta (for carbs) the night before, then have a bacon and eggs for breakfast (I don't know why, it just helps) and like other people have said fruits and water while playing. Then in between matches isntead of just walking around sprint(if you can) or do push-ups in between, it makes it so your brain doesn't release a chemical that makes you tired, because it normally releases after a long time of inactivity.
The best part about all this is you'll lose weight too!

I've gotton 30 hours on my xbox doing this.

I find that BF2 is a game that its hard to sit a long time playing. Don't know why. May be because of the long loading times/long rounds. But as the other guy said, Civilization will easily have eaten a good 6-8 hours of your day before you even know it.

But weed really isnt that bad an idea. Tried playing with it once, and it does make it alot more fun. Don't listen to that monkey who posted about weed earlier. It doesnt ruin your grammatics (Might have spelled that wrong). But still, avoid it if you can.

I think the longest I have sat playing a game is for like 12 hours. What game it was I can't quite remember. Might have been Diablo II. But the biggest obstacle for me, when it comes to long playing sessions, is msn. I dont have time for any long sessions unless it is in the weekends, but I dont wanna miss out on great parties and such either, so I like to stay updated.

try these power pill thingys! One of these little mints contain the same amount of caffene as one cup of coffee, just don't take the entire packet at lunchtime at school.
                            Dam that was messy!

yer i find the main key for me to play for extended hours is my chair, i got me a nice soft leather studded chair, so comfortable, and i position my monitor up to eye height so i aint always lookin down, the whole wrist positioning thing is so true, but yer my longest stint in 11 hrs, i usually do a 5 hrs stint when ever im on lol
