I play to win. In order to do that, you have to bunny hop and dolphin dive to compete with the other players that are doing it. It gives you an advantage by making you harder to hit. If they are smart, they do the same thing. In the end it all boils down to who can aim better. Unless of course the other person doesn't do these things, then they are easy prey.

I play to have fun, but for me if I'm getting owned and losing then I'm not having fun, so see above.

I think the majority of people who cry about it are the ones that get killed a lot and are unable to do all the moves while still shooting accurately at the enemy. Too bad for them if they can't compete.

Hmmmmm, again, this kind-of shows your maturity level, people don't "cry about it" because they are unskilled, it's because they feel strongly about people exploiting the game to gain an unfair advantage*.

I personally do not class myself as a great or even good player, I can hold my own and have fun - that is more than enough for me, especially after a hard days work.

In response to your question though, I play to have fun: now that I have all the unlocks I want, I couldn't really care less about ranks and medals.

For me, fighting someone who is willing to cheat to win is not that fun, sure I can put up with it, but would dearly love to see a fix from the devs. Plus, as stated, if it is 'my' server than the bunnies will be out on their ar$e :)

* Imo, making yourself harder to hit using a blatant game glitch**, is unfair and stifles the chance of competition somewhat.

** I have read posts that say you do not lose any real accuracy while jumping, you can also get 203s (GP30s etc) off with the same accuracy; with the only deterrent being a temporary loss of stamina.

I have better idea, EA please release a patch the silences whiners that complain about elements of the game they don't like.

Until it is patched it only makes sense to be proficient at all tactics. The only tactic I don't like is the one that doesn't work. Of course if that bothers you I would suggest a nice game of checkers.

Well, imo, bunny hoppers are the scum of online gaming, even worse than base campers!
I recently tried Americas Army again, and they have invaded that too

I agree that players should be allowed to avoid fire as best they can, but jumping up and down like you’re on springs? No way.
If I get into a ‘situation’ in-game, I will lay, kneel and sidestep like a loon – all to avoid getting killed; these are tactics that I feel are ok, as they are all things you would probably do if this were real.

Basically, those willing to hop around to avoid getting killed are cheaters – they are exploiting an aspect of the game that the decent and skilled players all agree needs to be patched.

I admin a ranked server, where the only real rule is “No Bunny Hopping” – the amount of people who still join and do it is amazing.
Thankfully, I actively administer the server whilst playing and anyone caught doing it will be warned then kicked, in some cases (after a global chat warning to all) they will be banned without warning.

Until Dice/EA provide a real fix to bunny hoppers, I guess it is down to those of us running servers to stop these people from making the game a ‘frag fest’, rather than the team based play it should be.

Well that’s my “two pence”, I’m sure we all feel the same about ‘them’, but they are likely to post in defense now – get ready for some laughs I’m sure

I do it ONLY if the other player is doing it, and i hate it, but i love rockin the bunny hoppers with the gl they jump and then a g lands right under them. lol.

MY freind is the best newb tuber ever, he can nail anybody, from verrrry far away, infact i must record some of his kills tonight maybe someone will watch em :)

Prone jumping is lame, that should be taken out of the game. Who the hell can do that? It looks like a Mexican Jumping Bean.

Bunny hopping can be frustrating, but it's mostly used by noobs that can't really play the game over the long haul anyway. Typically, I aim for a headshot, if the guy jumps, he jumps into the fire. Bunny hopping doesn't get him anywhere, but dead. If he doesn't jump, it only takes a couple of bullets to kill him. It doesn't always work, but it works more than aiming for the body.

Here in Japan everyone bunny on Karkand & Mashtuur makes being a medic difficult. It sucks getting pawned by a 40mm but it is OH! so sweet when they miss and jump around after which I send a burst in their chest. After theyre dead I go over and teabag those wannabe guks. the japs are like "oh my, he's like ummm so rude!!" The Japanese servers are worst than the West Coast servers when it comes to n.t.ing, seriously worse...
