THIS IS FASTLY BECOMING A REAL ANNOYANCE!!! i hate it when i use my basic survival instincts and go prone as i approach the corner of a building, only to see..... some mofo running at me DDing and BHing down the middle road guns blazing!!! WTF!!! the only good thing that come with that shiite is the enjoyable experience you get when u take one of the bastarrds down!!! :laugh:

Jumping when running depletes your energy..we know that! But I think your energy should still deplete when doing a standard jump whilst walking. Also, the lower your energy gets, the less impact your jump will have [less height basically].

It's obvious that if your knackered from jumping around, you will eventually have no energy to keep jumping.

Bunny hopping ruins the game. One way they could get rid of it is by releasing a mission pack called BF2 : bh attack. Where you can unlock bigger bunny hops, Dig into the ground, Have lots of sex with game opponets and make them give birth so much that they die, Get awarded carrots for super vision. And leave pills of crap all over the place.
That would sort out the bunny hopping

I don't mind the jumping so much as the going prone in mid air to limit the profile the player has. Not exactly realistic...not saying this whole game is - but damn.

Yeah, the "DD" is far worse. The jump up and insta prone ****es me off so much. So then I go on the team that everyones bunnyhopping on and TK them until I get kicked

When u pop around the corner and see a 6 foot rabit sort of kills the hole buzz. I like shooting 6 foot rabits ! The higher they jump the harder they fall.:laugh:

it's called bunny hopping. Nobody serious likes it. Retards still do it.

It is great when the server admin does it, and you kill him 3 times in a row, so he kicks you. It really shows the mentality of those guys.

So I was playing earlier and this was happening way too much. You get into a firefight with someone and while you're prone shooting at them they come running at you jumping around like the easter bunny and guess what...you're the one thats dead. Its rediculous!

CS: Source put a fix in that stopped this from happening and its urgently needed for BF2. Watching people jump around like freaking rabbits is retarded.

As for the prone jump thing, its something that also needs to be taken care of. Its even worse watching people do that.

Anyway, thought I'd share this. Its nothing new but its becoming a real annoyance.

i totally agree with you. if you had not made your posting i would have. i was really pizzed off last night when i was playing against the fairy king bunny himself and he was bunny hopping in sick gay delight while i almost destroyed my innocent computer in a fit of mindless rage.

Just to tell you, bunnyhopping and prne jumping are different. Prone jumping is when you're prone, and you rapidly press z and space and it makes the illusion o the other place that you're in the air prone. It looks retarded and it's even cheaper than bunnyhopping, it's almost impossible to hit em this way.

In BF2, especially in ranked servers, "dolphin diving" and bunny-hopping are the ways of surviving. Honestly, in a BF2 close quarters firefight, you're left with some choices, take out the guy thats in front of you while standing up or get a better chance of taking out the guy by going prone? I'll tell you right now, A LOT of players would rather get another point by goingprone and ****ing off their opponent than standing/crouching and then GETTING OWNED by his opponent but still feel good that they "did the right thing, instead of something that is frowned upon by many players".

Point is, even I dolphin dive and bunny hop and I could care less what my opponents think about me doing it, because I didn't buy BF2 to satisfy other players by not doing something they may consider annoying and thats the same mentality you'll get on BF2 servers. If you don't like someone doing w/e on a BF2 server, they could care less about what you think about the way they play BF2.

But you don't prone jump your way out. Prone -> jump -> shoot -> prone. I think the solution is to change the height of the jump, and for boxes, walls, fences or other things give players the ability to climb over them and therefore not have to worry about creating an insane jump height.

I think a dolphin dive should cause damage to a player, you can't land on your ribs all day without getting hurt, especially when you're wearing all that combat gear.

Remove the ability to shoot while jumping, decrease jump height, decrease jump stamina and have a longer transition when you go from standing to prone during which you can't shoot, increase accuray while standing or kneeling a bit. This will improve gameplay by heaps.
