Re: Compare this to the BF2 that we own.

I can see why some of those features (that I think look really cool) were cut.

The physics of having so much movable stuff would cause serious issues with multi-player (think of the BW use).

The equipment screen is draticly different from anything before seen in a BF game and would prolly confuse and scare a good portion of the market.

The command screen looked too complex for your average knuckle dragger.

Swearing would cause the game's age rating to increase.

Laser Targeting (and team work on the level shown) is way beyond your average player.

The sad truth is that while I think the game that the video shows would be hella cool, it would not sell as well as the BF2 that was released. Playing to the lowest common denominator pays.

Need proof of what I say? Easy. Just look at sales between ghost Recon (complex) and Quake (knuckle dragging).

90% of the footage are ingame, look at the commander menu, look at the game menu, thats 100% different that we got now. I think they put a false explosion durant the jet-tank attack. I love the objects, fla everywhere when U shot on it, Awesome!

And you know it's in game because? How hard do you think it is to photoshop up a graphic? And how hard do you think it is to then put that in the beginning of the movie and move around it. before the game starts.

Trust me, that was what they wanted to make, not an indication of what they could make with the resources available.

Also, since about 90% of the footage is third person camera, I can't see how you liken it to in game.

I like the aimpoint scope, 203 ironsight, which will be harder to be a tube noob (must right click to aim at..), and maybe all the sight on everygun.

Compare this to the Scar-L/H, lol w00t a visible circle with a red point on the middle... I know EA can do better, I hope they replace all the gun sight before the last patch available.

Games shouldn't be rated T M or whatever, they should be rated by minimum IQ required to play correctly...

Good analysis, but actually we're just lazy.

Alright people, this is the, i guess the oldest video of BF2 that has not been edited by EA. The map was Divided CIty which has changed to Mashtuur City(Guessin) I want to ask which BF2 u prefer more? the unedited or the one we playin?
I remember seeing this vid the first time I learnt the making of BF2. I'd assume you like the looks of BF2 in this vid, and I'd have to agree with you there. But like someone else has says, this may be CG animation.

                    But thats no excuse!

But seriously, there were things in this video that should of been implemented into the final product (eg. Laser designator, customisation of your player model and more importantly, WEAPONS).

One thing that really caught me though was the iron sights. This video shows what the iron sights should of been. Like come on, what's the deal with the aimpoint so close to your fricken eye in our current BF2. Its Sh!thouse.

                      For the love of Buddha.
That is a LOT better than the current version.
I really like the voice way better than current crappy one.

one reason they may have cut a lot of it out?

Can you imagine the requirements for that version? Imagine the whining on here now "My 4 year old, 900mhz 128mb RAM pc can't run this!".

It would be 10 times worse if it looked like that. Not to mention that version would require teamwork. Which is severly lacking in this game. Just about only found in clans, who hit pubs and work as a team.

This game looks hella lot better, but I suppose it wouldn't work so good online...
