Compare this to the BF2 that we own.

Alright people, this is the, i guess the oldest video of BF2 that has not been edited by EA. The map was Divided CIty which has changed to Mashtuur City(Guessin) I want to ask which BF2 u prefer more? the unedited or the one we playin?

ps: I know I shouldnt post it here but I think most of people didnt see this video yet.

I wonder how much of that was actual in-game versus CG animated concept??? Either way I'm sure they had good reasons to cut some of the things they did....

seen that video, i was hoping it would be like that where we could customize stuff etc... but NOOOOO we only get crappy unlocks that have already been made and crappy boring stuff while they put that in later and try to sell it to us for $30 more

This is what Battlefield 2 should have been.

This is the game I, and most of the fanbase waited months on end to come out, not what we currently play.

That is clearly far better, the PKM guy didn't go into iron sight and the bullets went towards the target instead of at right angles to the gun.
                    The scopes looked far better.
                    The physic looked far better.
The texures and detail looked far better.
Even the MEC voices sounded better.
That is what BF2 would have been like if they had made it with the HL-2 engine.

Agreed with all but the last one. I think it's more this is what BF2 was supposed to be, assuming EA cared and DICE coded everything right. Obviously neither of those two conditions were met, thus giving us what we have now.

Ya, the you can count a lot of things they cut out, edited or changed for the worse from that movie. the physics difference is amazing, in that movie, the physics actually look good. In current bf2, they suck ass compared to hl2 or AA

no laser designation, no cool explosion graphics (which they could have done, med and high are the same graphics settings... why? they never finished the high graphics) the MEC look like the... wait a minute... they look like the insurgents in SF... hmmmmm... sorta like what we wanted in normal bf2...

arghh. they really should work on optimizing the engine and fixing the bugs before they make expansion packs off of a not to amazing engine...

I'm sure it was presequenced in-game footage and not prerendered. Too many angles on the models to be prerendered (like BF42 and BFV intros, very smooth models).

Even so....the Red sight on the M16 was badass.....id love to have that in the game.

The binoculars could have very easily been left in for painting (although most pilots probably wouldnt listen to it)

I dunno.....I could see a company making something as crappy as the current BF2 and then not wanting to add stuff to it....but to add all this cool stuff in, and then pull it out (for whatever reason) is just retarded.

We basically got screwed into thinking it was gonna be much more than it was.
