No they dont mate no BBC presenter speaks like that. Even if you take the view the accent sounds the same, its not the same because they might speak with a so called english accent but they don't speak english words.

Like 'chopper' no British soldier says chopper. Basically they have taken the same words used by the americans and tried to put a ccent on it. i'd assume its the same problem with the russians etc.

I don't actually hate the accent, but the funny thing is, before I started playing I expected it. It is a bit annoying that 'non-british' people associate us with the posh accent, but in truth I bet half of the SAS are probably Scottish or hard speaking Cockneys.
There is no real grit in that posh accent...

I remember that in Medal of Honor (breakthrough) was the britt and russian voices, too. And they were just excellent, maybe some crap with communistic structure, like a comrade etc. but a pronunciation was brilliant.

well i heard the brit voices in the game and it sounds usual for me. ive just checked the bbc news and the television announcer speaks exactly the same.
but the russian voices are really crap

You would think that DICE could have found some ex SAS guy to consult with them to get the terminology correct... It seems like they were just lazy. Of course you also have the USMC Seahawk listed as Blackhawk, so there you go.

I haven't read this whole thread but:

I heard somewhere that the SAS are 70% Scottish! Why? Because they are hard, that's why!
So therefore they all have rugged Scots accents. Ach aye laddie.

I can't stand the "Brit" accents in the game. Not even the Queen talks that posh! I have the voiceover option enabled - I'd rather hear American voices from "SAS" mouths than have to suffer through that...

I wish they would really remake the British voices. Like has been said, the majority of SAS are Scots, and I've never met anyone who spoke like those voices, however high up they might sit in the British class system... I've spoken to very senior officers in the Royal Air Force and had them sound far more normal than that. The Queen's Christmas address each year sounds less upper clahss that that... What were they thinking?? Have any of them ever actually met a real Brit?

unfortunatly the voices are correct if they sampled british military officers who are mostly public school toffs and graduate from Oxbridge before entering Sandhurst miltary accadamy and that even goes for the SASs officers thats why SAS troopers refer to there officers as RUPERTs

but the rest of us Brits think they sound like total tossers.
i think every SAS round should start with this lmao

I actually like the voices.

If your having a clan match on Night Flight, And your clan is SAS (Mine always is), Hearing "Starlight To my location, over" Is brilliant. Sure its a bit too posh, But at least you know who your hearing.

I have no idea, but the sound of a bunch of posh people diving out of a helo from 2k ft up in the air and pwning everything in sight just seems more hardcore lmao.

Its like when someone gets beat up by a girl. The girl suddenly becomes hardcore

I would revoice them if I could (for my own use that is, would be funny to change gun noises to me saying dakkadakka haha), but alas it would cause major problems. They have been growing on me I must say, but still...at least the Americans sound human.
